Aventura  Arden V2 Shorts - Women's

I used to order these in size 6. The next time I ordered 6, they didn’t fit (my weight did not change), so I returned and ordered 8 which did fit like my old 6. Recently, I ordered one of the colors on sale and there was only size 6, so I gave it a try, and also 2 pairs of size 8. What I got was a size six that fit smaller than a size 4 and the size 8 were a different fit as well. One was normal like my last order so I washed them. I don’t put them in the dryer, I hang dry. The pair I didn’t try on before washing was HUGE compared to the other! They about fell off me. These shorts have been my favorite for years, but sadly I don’t feel I can trust the fit anymore ordering online.

I was really excited to find a longer length pair of women's shorts. I love the Arden V2 fabric and the style but am finding the sizing to be way off. I'm almost 5'10 and typically wear a size 10. I ordered the 10 in these shorts - but had to return them because they were way too big. I next ordered the size 8 - still too big! Returned them as well. Just received a pair in size 6 (I never wear a size 6 in any brand!) - STILL too big!!!! I'm feeling frustrated as I really like these shorts but am having a terrible time figuring out Aventura's sizing.

I have been wearing these shorts for 15 years . The original fabric was so much better . I still buy these because of the length . Longer Bermudas are hard to find . However I dislike new fabric. It is weak and I’ve had newer ones rip a straight line by back pocket even tho there is no pull whatsoever. The new fabric has no give either making less comfy . I miss the old fabric that wore like a cargo short and had nicer pockets that easily held cell phones or wallet . Also the contrast stitching was fun ! When I wore those shorts so many women would ask where I found them . Bottom line if it’s not broke don’t fix it ! I still recommend them because longer shorts are very hard to find , these are still nice just not as nice as they were before they changed the fabric .

I bought a few v2s from last season and loved the fit in a size 6. They were slimmer overall with a touch of stretch. The colors are great this year, but the sizing and fit is not the same. Legs are loose and butt is baggy...diaper butt, not a great look. I assumed since these were v2s, the fit would be the same. Even the sizing between colors is not consistent. Iced Coffee is 1/2 inch larger in the waist than the Liilac Gray pair. Torn between trying a smaller size in both or just returning them.

I'm not one of these annoying size 6s who had to size down to a negative number. I am pear-shaped and gained weight since last year, so I bought a size up from what I wore last year - they were so small, I think I would've had to order 3 sizes up to actually go up 1 size. I bought 2 different colors in the same size, and those were a about a size different - 1 pair I could get on, but not the other one. I bought shorts elsewhere because I'm not playing the buy-return-buy-return shell game.

Very comfortable and the perfect length for me. Bought it in Sedona Sage and Quarry and the one in quarry fit a little tighter. The fabric stretches out after a few minutes, but I don't need a belt. I am 66, weigh 105 w/a bit of a tummy and size 4 fit perfectly. I don't iron, so I wash these with the cuffs undone and tumble dry for 5 minutes. Then I take them out and smooth everything and hang them up to dry. They come out great.. If you like a crisper look you'll need your iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 4 pairs of this style from many years ago are thread bare so I bought several more pair. Coming from the textile/apparel world, I examined the differences between the older pairs and the new pairs. I noticed several changes made to reduce manufacturing costs. Fabric is not the same quality, waistband interfacing is very poor quality, there is no tape from top of front waistband to the cuff. Pockets were surprisingly the same size as from before. With the lighter fabric and not adding the twill tape down the size will reduce the length of wearability. The shorts are great for hiking and long walks. All the pockets are great for carrying phone, dog items, etc. I totally understand your position of cost, but I would prefer paying a little more to have the front side seam taped and having more durable fabric. Work on the waistband interfacing, too.

These shorts are a great fit with plenty of pockets for walking. They look stylish and have the length I was looking for. Wonderful variety of colors-I have four pair each a different color yet fairly neutral to go with a lot of different tops. <br />The only downside is they wrinkle when washed. I prefer to have my clothes wrinkle-free which requires ironing with this particular fabric and cut. <br />Other than that, I love them!!

I really like that these shorts are cotton and not some stretchy tech fabric. They are the right length, look good on, and are not too big around the waist the way most shorts are. The pockets are functional and the pocket design is attractive and different. They run true to size and I would highly recommend them if you like a longer short.

As someone who does not like short shorts, I was attracted to these shorts because of their ability to extend in length. I thought for sure I would be wearing them at the longer length, but it turns out the shorter option hits just above the knee and is perfect(I am 5'10&quot;).I was so impressed with my first pair, I immediately ordered a second. They are soft, with just the right amount of stretch.
