Nice idea, but too loose
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the dusty purple color, it seemed warm and the material was comfortable, and the short length would have suited me for biking and skiing (better for sitting on the lift), but the body/stomach part was just way too loose and I had to return it. There was no way to tighten it or even cinch the bottom, so it just wouldn't have been warm enough. The shoulders fit fine. In my trying it on around the house, I had a bit of trouble keeping the hood up, so that was a smaller issue, but not a dealbreaker. The return process was easy, so thanks to Marmot for that!
Didn't work for my tall, thin frame.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really wanted to love this Chelsea Short Coat, and it came really close to great, but it didn't work for my admittedly hard-to-fit body. I'm long, tall, and thin. The sleeves on this coat are actually long enough, but it gaps so much in the front at the waist that I could be 8 months pregnant, and it would fit. It would let in way too much cold air around my waist, and of course, it doesn't look great with all that excess fabric and space in front. The sleeves would have been too short and the shoulders too narrow in a Small so this will go back.
Styling and Profiling in NYC

The color is more so like a light olive, it's NOT grey at all so please do not believe those other reviews, it also runs true to size i am really top have in the bust area and a XL fit perfect! Wear this coat with some skinny jeans and boots you're good to go! It's a casual coat i would say as well i would hope Marmot makes this in a navy color for winter 2024-2025 or even a deep olive green
short warm jacket

But the boxy fit accommodates my large bust very well. Super high quality as with all Marmot. I will enjoy this one.
Best cold weather coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a medium which is what I usually buy in coats & it's a great fit. The quality of fabric is excellent, as well as the construction. Such detail, even the hood is lined. If you're looking for one to keep you warm this can do it.
Great coat, but color appears grey not tan
