Nice awning
I bought this last fall and just installed it March '25. Lining up the brackets to my Jetstreams took some time, but once done, it's super easy to install and remove.
Total junk.
This is thing is not great. I don’t think the people at Yakima could have designed a worse way of attaching this thing if they tried. If you have the old round bars you have to use an adapter which is plastic junk… it won’t line up right and depending on what you have on top of your car is a huge bulky pain in the rear. If you have a roof tent this awning will work poorly at best…. You can really only attach it above the bars, but if you have a roof tent it would work better to attach hanging under the bars…I flipped my brackets upside down and was able to Jerry rig it but it’s a huge pain to hang it up there….this system makes it nearly impossible. The Amazon awnings at half the price are much simpler and more universal. I’m just going to go machine a better bracket myself. In an effort to make this system tool-less and lockable Yakima has only succeeded in over complicating things. Temu makes better stuff than this.
