Columbia  Newton Nimble Leather Hiking Shoes - Women's

My girlfriend really loved the shoes. Very comfortable and kept her feet at a good temperature as we hiked throughout southwest Utah, Arizona, and Nevada.

I cannot comment on how they will work for me in the wild, bc I am still wearing them around to house to make sure they fit OK. They are a little long, a little stiff, and the heel slips a bit. But I think they will get more supple and work better for me as I wear them. I appreciate that the material seems like it will more abrasion-resistant than my other Columbia waterproof fabric trail shoes (which I like a lot). Maybe the new ones will be the right shoe for our trip to Iceland?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give these 5 stars but they felt too warm on the feet for my needs. Supposedly they are breathable, but I have Gortex ankle boots and these didn't feel as breathable as those. Otherwise, they seemed like a well made, durable shoe that runs true to size in length.

I wear a size 9 medium wide and this shoe fits and is comfortable and easy to walk in. Walked over a mile the first time and no hot spots. The tongue is a little too short or I would have given it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes for a hiking trip to Banff, Canada. I had never been hiking before but these held up great! We hiked over 20 miles in 3 days and my feet never hurt. They handled all terrain very well!
