[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are really comfy. I can say these are very stable and good looking shoes. The ankle gets well supported, and they are comfortable and flexible. You wouldn’t think they are that flexible by having a look to them while in your hands.
These shoes are comfortable, with good cushioning and ample space in the toe box. I have two issues with them though that will probably keep me from buying another pair. First, the tongue is oddly a little bit short for where the last eyelets are located and where the laces sit when tied. The laces keep wanting to slide over the top of the tongue and rest against the top of my ankle, which then messes up how secure the fit is because the laces aren't tight anymore. I have to tie the laces tigher than I'd otherwise like to keep my heel from sliding around because the laces won't stay in one place. Speaking of the laces, they're made of extremly smooth material that refuses to stay tied. Double knotting fixes the issue (and I suppose I could always just buy new laces), but I shouldn't have to.
I have been searching for the right shoes for some time. I have found the nimble, Konos, and Thrive to work well. They are comfortable and yet supportive. The one thing I would like Columbia to do is to improve the durability of the outsoles for each of these shoes. They are a bit soft and wear quickly, long before the shoe itself needs to be replaced. I have also tried Merrell, Keen, Danner etc all which have a much more durable outsole. Thank you for making a very comfortable, but please improve the durability of the outsole.
I really like these shoes. They run true to size for me and are very comfortable. Quality materials and construction combined with performance features such as being waterproof and breathable. Style is an excellent cross between casual and active.
These are durable, comfortable, and very functional. My big complaint is that the shoelaces don't stay tied even half the day, and they're too short to double-knot. Will REI please tell Columbia to supply shoelaces that stay tied all day?
Ordered on line and the shoes were great. Very comfortable. Very good traction - does tend to hold the dirt and leaves in the tread so stomp your feet to clear them off before going indoors. Nice looking and a good value for the price.
A smidge on the narrower in the toe box. I'm hoping it breaks in a little and then it will fit like a glove.
I got these to wear on my daily walk and just general daily wear. So far they have been very comfortable. I didn’t want to spend the $150+ that shoes seem to cost now so thought I would give them a try. I’ve only had them about a month so can’t speak to the long term durability but seem to be well made. I probably wouldn’t use them on rough terrain but seem fine for walking, light hiking. I’m thinking I should have got another pair while they were on sale.
The shoe is very comfortable! I broke my right foot as a preteen during a bicycle race when my rat trap peddle broke exposing my young foot to the peddle axle, which it rolled off of and under the rear tire with my full body weight. X-rays in 1969 weren't great and not very clear. I was told to walk on it. it is still very uncomfortable to walk and is more painful as I age. So it is very difficult for me to shoe my right foot comfortably. I bought the new shoe for walking my dog in wet rainy weather and I'm sorry to report that the first time I exposed them to a very light drizzle and a walk across the grass at the park, my socks and feet got wet. I hate to use snow seal on them, but looks like there is no other option if I want my feet to stay dry. That's why the two stars, 5 stars otherwise, durability seems good, My last pair of Columbia boots lasted 2 years and are cracking so I bought a replacement. But my cracked, leaky two year old shoes are more waterproof! Disappointing!
A very nice shoe for the price. I'd give it 5 stars but it comes with a cheepy inner sole which I had to change out to something more supportive. Otherwise, I really like the color, fit and comfort level of these shoes.
