Nearly perfect

I just received my Quintic 16 backpack as replacement for my old Dakine backpack, that I used for 25 years as a daypack on- and offpiste. I love the pack and the design. It carries super comfortably and the quality of materials is like always with Arcteryx outstanding. Out of the box, there is 2 main features that I will miss, a hydration system and fleeced padded goggle pocket. The last one I thought was a feature and something I can live without, but the ability to integrate my hydration bladder is something I will dearly miss as it makes it so much easier to stay hydrated on the warm days

Good

Lots of small compartments There was a review saying there was no helmet strap/holder but there is I think they probably threw it out by accident because it was in the top compartment of the bag wrapped in tissue paper. They probably thought it was just stuffing lol

greate ski bag

I've been waiting for this backpack for sooo long. It has a good volume, neither too much nor too little. As a female, i feel like there aren't many adjustable things so it's a bit large for me (there is some space between my shoulder and straps eventhough i adjust it to the minimum... maybe it will be better after I put on my down jacket). Anyway it is a good backpack for skiing!!!! I like it soooo much!

Great pack!

My pack came with the helmet net for the front. No need to purchase separate. Burly material, excited to try it out on the mountain. As others have stated, there is no fleece lined pocket anywhere. However, I think this pack will do quite well for my needs, and the outside ski straps could come off if you wanted to use this pack multi season!

great compact shred pack

Great small pack. It has been my got to pack for on the ski hill as well as touring the closer backcountry near the resort. Not a ton of room but all the essentials fit. The bag rides nice to the point that i barely notice it. Recommended piece for on an off the hill especially those that are going for quick tours off the resort

Great Backpack

Was looking for a small bag for skiing to carry an extra layer spare lens and gloves. This fits the bill. Nice quality bag, just enough compartments and doesn’t have an overload of dangling straps like other back packs. Fits comfortably with all my layers. Great bag! Exactly what I was looking for.

Fantastic Bag(s)

I am going to come at this from a slightly different point of view. I am unsure why Arc'teryx is not in the camera bag game. As a photographer (street, landscape, wildlife) I bought the 28 liter Quintic and immediately ordered the 16 liter. Both are incredible bags. From the split down the middle and dual access main gear compartments to the padded and shaped back plate, the bags are almost perfect. I have bought, used, and sold a number of photography bags and for whatever reason, the Quintic design just seems to work for my camera gear load out and other gear I use. Having adapted some of the camera and lens inserts from other bags into the Quintic and I cannot say enough wonderful things. These are the packs I have bee looking for...almost. When I shoot street photography I prefer an messenger style bag, but the 16 liter Quintic is now my go too whenever the weather is wet (Vancouver, BC street photographer) or I want to have a bit more comfort, capacilty, and support while shooting. I also like the ability to throw in a light puff or a rain jacket which is tough in a messanger style bag with camera gear. The 28 liter version is great for my long lenses and some extra food and gear when I want to head out for a hike. I love the coated nylon as well. It is classic tough and coated so I feel my cameras and lenses will remain dry and protected especially when I throw a dry bag in there to make sure to keep things nice and dry. My only request/suggestion would be for just a bit more room in the 16 liter. Maybe 18-20 liter capacity? But this is coming from someone who is not skiing or snowboarding and therefore not using it as designed. But hey, if I can convince you guys to adapt this design slightly with some inserts or a slightly wider base, these might end up being killer camera bags for nature, wildlife, outdoor sport, and landscape photographers. Either way, amazing, comfortable, qualiyty, stylish, and very well built bags. I absolutely love their versitility, function and feel. Also, please bring back the messenger sling. Please :)
