I have worn Hokas for 10+ years. They are my favorite brand for the comfort and cushioning that my feet require. The engineers really missed the mark with the Transport Hike boot. There are stiff, heavy lumps at the gusset attachment on each side of the tongue. These hard lumps pressed painfully into my foot on each side. It's either poorly constructed or a bad design. I hope this issue is corrected in the future. I will be returning these. My old mid-ankle speedgoat boots have been the best, but they are worn and I need new boots. The new "mid" speedgoats are a joke with the neoprene collar, not at all like the prior ones. I hope someone at Hoka reads these reviews. I'm going to have to wear Keens.
I’m 78 and had both knees replaced last year. I’m back to walking without pain but my body is definitely readjusting to its new alignment. I wanted a shoe that felt very comfortable, stable with good support and will keep my feet dry. Henn, the associate who helped me had some good suggestions. I really appreciated his advice patience.
Great fit, great balance, laces stay tied well. Really like their support. I wish they had an option for elastic laces.
