Best Fleece That I Own

I have an R1 Air crew, hoody, and now this jacket. Like other reviewers, I find this to be the sweet spot for an awesome line of fleece layers. I prefer a zip up to a crew in general, especially with the two pockets, and the hoody was just not as practical. This is perfect. As a fleece, it has a great combination of breathability and warmth. I've had the crew and hoody for a few years and they still look like they are new. I expect this to have the same durability. The fit is great for me: I'm 5'8" 160 lbs athletic build and the Medium is nearly a perfect fit. It is slightly on the long side for me, so would be a perfect fit for someone taller.

Better than previous version

This version Is definitely a better fit than the previous model. Especially in the torso area. It's not that wonky super long and slim fit a little more true to size. Material is quality as always and could wear all year long and be comfortable .

Swiss Army Knife Layer

I’m glad that I waited for this iteration of the R1 air. It’s more generously cut than the previous version, so you can wear it without being an endurance athlete or model. It’s really comfortable and warm. The chest pocket is big enough for an iPhone. It’s more gorpcore than a better sweater, but not too technical for casual wear. it’s great for layering.

Great layer for fall in NC

I bought this jacket to use for fall and spring days when the NC weather is a little cool in the morning and evening. It performs the job perfectly and the breezy construction lets me keep on it on even when the temps rise. The jacket fits pretty snug, but not too much so. Sleeves are long enough, which I appreciate.
