Hope the "Revision" makes them warmer!
Bought these in Vancouver mid-March 2025. It looks like mine were the version just before the "revised" version came out. There's a tag marked CA#34438. Bought them for pretty much one reason only: I needed a very warm mitt. They might be great in all the other departments, but warm they are not. Tried them this morning for the first time since I bought them. Took the dog for a walk and then stood around talking to other dog owners. Temp was -1C - no wind. Hands got really cold in not a long time. The mitts fit perfectly: XL for my hand size. This is my first Arcteryx purchase. If it wasn't billed as their "warmest mitt" I probably would not be posting this. I hope the revised version is better; it will have to be a lot better to even come close legitimately claim to be warm. Can't imagine how poorly they would have fared in really cold weather. 3 stars overall because of zero for warmth. As far as I can tell everything else is great. Jeff
10/10
Highly recommend these mitts. Extremely warm. The leather plus the goretex makes them super waterproof.
Old model but same price as newer better version
FYI, REI is selling an older version of these mittens for the same price as the newer better version. The one selling at REI does not offer 200g of insulation. The new version was revised due to reviews saying they were not warm enough. Go to arcteryx website.
Warm and Fit Small Hands!
I've had no luck with Arc'teryx gloves (the fingers are way too long) so I made the swap to mittens and they fit perfectly! I got a size XS and they are super warm and waterproof, I was so impressed the past few days up WhistlerBlackcomb with them. I worried with mittens that I wouldn't have the dexterity to do up my bindings but it's no problem at al. Obsessed - would recommend for those with tiny cold hands!
Warm & very comfortable + keeps hands dry.
A warm and super comfortable Glove. I love the quality on the Fission SV Glove, it keeps the hands warm & dry, even if you are in Japan and out in the snow all day. This is something I never really had, a glove that actually doesn't get wet. And the Fission SV is the one that surprised me the most. It's warm, so maybe not the best for Spring, but for a real deep winter, it's the one you want to have.
Perfect Gloves for Extreme Winter Conditions
The gloves impress with their excellent fit and provide reliable protection and great comfort, especially during harsh winter conditions. The craftsmanship – as expected from Arc'teryx – is outstanding and leaves nothing to be desired. A truly premium product that perfectly combines functionality and quality.
A little tight
I just bought the gloves and trying them on I find them just a little tight, I was wondering if they tend to stretch a little with use. My palm circumference is 21 cm, so according to the size guide, I chose size M. I wonder if the L would have been better.
Not warm enough
Was hoping to get my hands warmer because of poor circulation But even with a liner they were not even making my hands sweat on a warm whistler day (not in the negative degrees with windchill)
too small for XXL
The mitts are really well built and look great, the issue is the fit. There is no way that a XXL size mitten can be so small. I think the company should reconsider its sizing metrics!
Warmest gloves I have owned.
These are the warmest gloves I have ever owned. Recommended.
