Versatile pack
I love the color way which is something that initially caught my attention. I like the clip in the front pouch to secure a keychain. The main pouch is spacious enough to accommodate everyday essentials. It also has a top zipped pouch people might find useful for their organizational needs. If the top pouch could be RFID protective that would be amazing to protect keycards or credit cards but I wouldn’t want that to compromise the weight/construction of the Nano waist pack. I think the zipper pulls and the side tie down points are an intelligent design. This is a larger waist pack, so unless you’re accustomed to wearing one you might find this bulky.
Textile coating lasts less than a year
This has seen daily use since I bought it in Mar 2024 and was great while it lasted. But less than a year of daily use, the textile coating has deteriorated and is starting to flake off getting into all the contents of the bag. You can see from exterior pic, the bag is in great shape and has held up really well.
Perfect Waistpack
great waistpack for hiking if you want to carry minimal things or great for traveling if you want to use has a sling in foreign countries while walking around cities
Well thought out waist pack to walk my dog
This waist pack is perfect for me to use walking my doggie, can hold a small water bottle, fetch ball in main compartment and separate my keys, other small items in the front zipper pocket, and my cell phone in the padded back pocket. It’s a bigger pack yet light for when I need to carry something on my walk. I especially like the loop which I could put a small biner to attach a water bowl and hat. I was picky but this has everything I am looking for. High quality. I love the teal/orange/purple color. The only improvement is that the waist belt is long for me and I need a way to bundle them so I don’t have long dangling nylon. I used a think rubber band on each side to hold them together.
Perfect waist pack
Perfectly blends size, quality and price point. I had been looking at waist packs by several manufacturers for quite some time before finding this one. Gregory does a lot of things well and I own several of their products. The only thing Gregory could improve on is including the elastic waist band tag end stays. Luckily I had some from some older failed packs.
Keep valuable items safe on you while walking
For long walkers, when you need special and important items carry on you the nano waist packing, has plenty of room and versatile ways of wearing along the classic around the waist.
Very Good Waist Pack
I bought this to use when I cross-country ski. I wanted a bag that would hold my Yeti 750ml Yonder water bottle, plus keys, wallet and phone; oh and it needed to be somewhat compact to not interfere with skiing. This was the only bag I found that met these requirements. To make it easier to get my water bottle in and out of the pack (it fit but just barely) I replaced the Yeti chug cap with the smaller tethered cap. (Unrelated to the bag I found the tether cap also made sure I did not drop the handle cap that came with the bottle - much better!). The padded part of the pack that sits next to my skin was nice and despite my rigid Yeti bottle everything was comfortable to wear. The ONLY reason I did not give this 5 stars relates to the straps. I know this is unisex but once around my waist I found the excess strap was too long and in the way. See the attached photo. A better solution for women or small waists (and mine is not that small) would be to have elastic restraints on both side of the buckle so any excess straps could be folded up and tucked back out of the way. Despite the strap issue this was still the only bag that met all my requirements and I think it is well designed and I will enjoy using it.
Love it with a couple of suggestions.
I really like this waist pack. I use it everyday and for travel. I ordered the black color and it’s much more elegant than most back packs with the subtle design. I like the three compartments. The top one is perfect for a phone. The middle is good for all the miscellaneous items and the front pocket is supposed to be for keys but I prefer it for a small wallet. I would change two things about this waist pack if I could. First, I would make the front compartment a little larger and the middle compartment a little smaller. That would offer a bit more flexibility. Also, I would put a wider band at the edges of the waist strap so that it is a little more snug and comfortable on your waist. I will be ordering more in the future
Just what I needed...
I had been looking at waist packs for a while but it was not until I saw the Gregory in person and could try it on that I knew this was the perfect size for me. I need it for short nature hikes with my dog, or neighborhood stroles to the library. It holds items in 3 different pockets, is big enough for my sunglasses, phone, a water bottle, and my dog's tennis ball. Secure fit, can be cleaned easily, and leaves my hands and shoulders free!
Gregory Quality
This is a well-made waistpack used mostly for bicycle rides and commutes. Will work for hikes. Can carry basics, including some tools. Just large enough to stow a rolled T-shirt to swap out the sweaty one at end of a ride. Zippers are strong, and the buckle is easy to snap closed. Very much what I expect from Gregory. I even like the blue color.
