Great trail Shoe with Cushy Support
My second pair of Wilds! I am loving the combination of stability and cushioning. Great for trails, mud, rocks, etc.
Very disappointed
I'm giving 2 stars because of the terrible durability/quality of this shoe. I paid $140 and for this price, I expect high quality. After only a few months of light walking (not even on a trail and not even running) the shoes developed a rip in the mesh. I did nothing to cause this rip! Not only this, but one of the shoes now squeaks loudly with every step - just what I want when I'm trying to enjoy the silence of nature. The laces are horrible and come undone if I don't double knot them. I would have given 1 star but they are at least quite comfortable. Never buying Altra again.
Extremely comfortable, terrible durability
Although these were the most comfortable pair of trail runners I’ve ever owned, the durability is terrible. They barely lasted 200 miles of backpacking, while I expect trail runners to hold up for 300-500. The tops ripped just below the base of my big toe, and no amount of duct tape could fix it. If they lasted longer they would probably have been 5 stars! Love the cushion and wide toe box, and worked well for my wide/flat feet. Would only recommend if you only hike on occasion and on easy trails, but I personally won’t be buying these again.
Ouch
I had high hopes for a this shoe. I have been wearing Altra’s Lone Peak 6, which accomodates my wide feet with bunions, but don’t love the zero drop. These are super straight and stiff at the inside of the forefoot so I couldn’t even wear them for more than 2 seconds. Returning them today :(
poor durability
Got these on sale and I'm glad, because they haven't even lasted a year. Agree with others that durability is not good. Feels like my foot is not supported anymore, so it is time to move on and find another brand. I love muyAltras for work (RN), but not for the trail.
Ouch
I have a pair of altra lone peaks which are great because they accommodate my ample bunions. These are completely flat at the bunion area, so excruciatingly painful before even walking on them. Very wide space on outside of the shoe which is weird. Have to return them. Sad…
Great shoe but…
This trail runner is comfortable out of the box. Cushioned enough but with some feeling of the trail, so a good balance. But it lacks breathability. My feet get pretty hot and I have tried a trail sock and road sock both by balega and still that is the one real flaw.
Best trail and walking shoe.
Best everyday and trail hiking shoes I’ve had. Comfortable with wide toe box and great grip and good arch support. When I wear these out they are a do over!
Very light and so comfy
Do far I love the trailer shoes. I haven’t done a real hike yet.
