Huge fan!

Tested this jacket out skiing. Fits more like a free ride jacket so I sized down from my usual L to a M. The high, stiff color provided much needed shielding from wind. The cinch in the back provided shape. Now one of my favorite jackets for skiing.

Not quite right

I can't comment on the jacket in action, just on sizing and shape as will be returning straight away. I've tried on Arc'teryx before and the sizing of this jacket is waaay off other models. Much bigger. Sleeves super long and very wide on the cuff, shoulders super wide and hips too - I'm usually between a medium and small and go for a medium to layer underneath but this was excessive. Was super excited about the collar and packable hood but for me it was too high and stiff, felt like a turtle and looked weird when the jacket was open. Quality felt great and the technical features were cool but don't think I'll be exchanging for a smaller size.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Incendia Jacket. We’re sorry to hear the fit didn’t align with your expectations, especially given your familiarity with other Arc’teryx models. The Incendia was intentionally designed with a freeride-inspired silhouette, which results in a roomier cut through the shoulders, sleeves, and hem compared to our more streamlined alpine pieces, and we understand this may feel oversized depending on layering preferences. We appreciate your feedback on the collar and hood design as well, and it’s great to know the quality and technical features stood out even though the fit wasn’t right for you. Your comments are valuable to our product team, and if you’d like guidance toward alternative jackets with a trimmer profile, our team would be happy to help you find a better match.

Durable - Fits LARGE

Great resort/freeride jacket with more durable fabric over the hood and shoulders. Light and moveable material on the bottom. Fit is large. No need to size up for layering or style in this piece. Even with the drawcords done tight, it was SO BIG when I sized up. Stay true to size for a baggy fit, size down for a closer to the body fit. Length is great. Collar felt very stiff when hood was stowed away, unlike some other high collar arc'teryx jackets. Felt a bit prohibiting with neck gaiter/helmet/accessories.

Stylish jacket, didn't hold up to needs

I was disappointed with the overall quality of this jacket, especially given the price and the fact that many competitors include these details as standard. The zippers felt extremely flimsy and were very small, making them difficult to handle with ski gloves/mittens. The shell itself was thin, with no reinforced fabric at high contact areas, I'd be worried about tears at the shoulder sleeve and waist where it seemed most vulnerable. While the jacket offers plenty of pockets, the dump pockets were not wide enough to comfortably fit the bulky items they’re intended to hold. The zipper on the left dump pocket was a thoughtful touch, but it didn’t fully make up for the limited capacity. The neck area was also uncomfortable. I understand the need to accommodate the hood, but when fully zipped it felt stiff, unforgiving, and unflattering. Additionally, the external zippers were not fleece-lined, which would have made a noticeable difference in comfort, especially since I would have to remove gloves to handle the zippers. It’s a shame this didn’t work for me because the jacket is genuinely beautiful. Unfortunately, it fell short in functionality for my needs.

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful and detailed feedback on the Incendia Jacket. We’re truly sorry to hear that the fit, materials, and functional details didn’t meet your expectations, especially when you were looking for a piece that could perform comfortably in ski conditions. We understand how frustrating it is when elements like zipper handling, pocket capacity, reinforcement in high‑wear areas, and neck comfort don’t align with what you need on the mountain, even when the overall aesthetic of the jacket is appealing. Insights like yours are incredibly valuable for our design teams as they continue refining both durability and usability across our products, and we really appreciate you taking the time to outline your experience so clearly.
