Strike that camp/life balance with these utilitarian-style REI Co-op Campwell Pants. Made with comfortable cotton canvas, they feature a relaxed fit and roomy, tapered legs that can be rolled up.

Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Absurdly high waist makes for weird fit.
I really liked the shape of these. Most outdoor pants are frumpily utilitarian, which is fine, but these actually had some style to the silhouette. Unfortunately, in the plus sizes, they had an *obscenely* high waist. It was ridiculous. I have a proportionally small waist and carry most of my weight in my seat and thighs. I also like a loose, roomy leg. These should have been absolutely great, and the legs were, but the waist was almost up around my bra band. I am 5'8, and not short-waisted. I don't know who the plus size version of these is intended for, but they were extremely uncomfortable and ended up looking clownish.
Very Baggy
So, I love the colors, material, and fit in the waist. Unfortunately these are entirely too loose from the hip down. I’m super short (4’10.5”) they just don’t look good on me. They’re also super high rise (which I like a lot actually) and the inseam is exactly full length for me. If these came with a tapered leg I’d get them all. For taller folks or people who love a barrel leg pant, you’ll love these!

I am that weirdo freak that the other reviewer mentioned. I have a tiny waist and huge hips and thighs. I love these pants and want them in every color. I bought the blue in small. I am about 5’7” and 130 pounds and in my 40s.
Barrel pants! Very big legs.
Although they are not advertised as such, these are serious "barrel" pants! The legs are giant. They fit just right in the waist, then flare out into clownish-looking wide legs that taper in at the ankle. They just looked silly. The material is nice, and the teal color very nice. But the big legs are a deal-breaker! I got a size Small; my waist is 27". hips 39". They will be returned.
Great for a tall lady
I'm tall (6 feet), so I have trouble finding pants that fit. The M Tall are a great length on me, and the high waist looks good. The barrel pant fit is very cute, and I feel like I could wear these pants in a wide variety of contexts - work, outdoors, hanging out.
Tiny waist, HUGE hips and legs? These are for you!
The fabric is thick and stiff, horribly uncomfortable to me. But if you have a tiny waist and REALLY substantial butt and thighs, these pants might work for you. Otherwise, these pants are dreadful.
Versatile Pants
I love these pants, and the comments other reviewers have made are accurate but I like the thick fabric, the wider hip area (suits my body shape) and I find them extremely comfortable to wear to work in the office and the jobsites. It really is a preference on fit and fabric, so give them a try especially if you are someone with a smaller waist and wide hips.
Sizing wayyy off
Unfortunately these pants are at least 2 sizes too big. I’m a size XS, 24-25 w and these were 2 inches too big in the waist in their smallest size. I think they’d be super cute if they fit (I think) so def size down
unusual but functional
These are a barrel leg, elastic waist pant that are ankle length for someone of average height (5’4-5’7”). I’m an 8 in most women’s pants. The size medium fit well with lots of room to move comfortably. The small were slightly more flattering, but the waist was snug. If you are petite or usually a 4 or smaller size, these pants will probably swallow you. For women in 6-12 range and medium or tall height, these are a kind of funky vibe but super comfortable for life stuff. You can sit on the ground in them or squat down without being cut in half or having your rear end show. The waist band stays put. It took me some trial and error to style them in a way that looked fun but not frumpy. A nice alternative to jeans. Cute with Birkenstock clogs, Danskos, or even some mid height boots. Fabric seems sturdy for doing stuff like working on my bike or camping.
My dream pants
Finally pants that fit me! I also have a very small waist compared to my butt and thighs like the other reviewer and these fit like a dream. The internal drawstring is clutch. They do run a little large.
