Still the Nano Puff I love
I bought this a week ago, as I wanted a black Nano Puff as my backup, just in case. I noticed that instantly this was significantly warmer compared to the 2024 Fall model I have, and it’s nice. It also has a bit more wiggle room which can help with layering. The collar also raises a bit more, and matches identically with the rest of quilting pattern of the jacket. The quilt pattern has also been enlarged a bit, with bigger rectangular stitching compared to last years. With these improvements listed, the jacket also feels a bit lower in quality. The cuffs and zipper garage are now the same ripstop as the rest of the jacket, instead of the nicer, softer material on my Fall 2024. The nice pull tabs on the zippers have also been removed in favor of the simple paracord strings from the Down Jackets, which isn’t a big deal, but still takes away from some of its original characteristics. In order to improve in some ways, they have to make some sacrifices in others. And so far, aside from my nitpicking, this seems to stay warmer, longer. It also has far better stitching, and have so far experienced no loose stitches. At the end of the day, It is still the Nano Puff I love. I’m a bit disappointed in the smaller changes that I love on my previous model, but things happen.
