Effective solar headlamp, best for home/base camp use. We personally use headlamps around the house and farm on a daily basis. I really appreciate the solar rechargeable (and in a pinch can charge from outlet). This is the third one I've bought (this will be a housewarming gift) because I think it is also great home emergency gear. I would say the headlamp part is a bit bulky and I would not take on a backcountry trip. UNLESS it was a very extended one and the re-chargeable aspect was a bonus.
The multiple use lighting product I wanted to hate (don’t like the bland color). There are multiple ways this could fail but every feature passed every performance test - with ‘flying colors’. The battery charge holds for way over a year in storage. It’s sturdy. Its even ergonomically convenient. Since I car camp and use a big power storage thing, I didn’t time the solar feature but it works and figures as good back for any desperate situations. It’s totally worth the full price, on sale, it’s a no brainer.
This is a handy headlamp/flashlight combination that was a pretty good deal on sale. It's very bright, includes red options, and has solar or USB-C charging. A little heavy for carrying in a pack, but great for around the house or campsite.
I purchased this MPowered Luci headlamp/flashlight combo while on sale, and during REI’s Spring member rewards+coupon bonus for quite a deal… and so happy I did! I’m a fan of the solar Luci lights; still using my trusty Luci collapsible lanterns year after year to illuminate camp. This headlamp/flashlight combo feels sleek, solid… thoughtfully clever design - the headlamp magnetically snaps onto the weighty solar base for handheld flashlight action which stores an impressive amount of power and light… goes on and ON. The smooth, adjustable headband feels stretchy-strong, and I really like the color combo. No more batteries! Looking forward to giving this unit a run this season :)
Best flashlight I have ever owned. It has 3 levels of white light and many Red blinking and solid lights. I use it to take the puppy out at 4:30 and shine it in the woods and perimeter to scare off the Bobcats and coyotes.
Whether indoors or out charging options trrrifiv and light choivrd nice .Great lighting tool. Flashlight food for hikes in the woods and cap light for am or pm walks.
I loved this thing (and used it daily - several times a week) until it suddenly stopped working unless connected to power. Previously I had actually never had to plug it in to charge it in the time I had owned it. It was able to sustain regular use by being stored on the panel. Now it can only be used as a flashlight while connected to the solar panel, which is frustrating as I use it 90% of the time as a headlamp at my off grid home and for at home auto repair and home projects. Typically I have owned headlamps (petzl and black diamond) that last for 2-4 years before falling apart, so this is quite a bit short of that (albeit measly) expectation. In general I feel like the mpowered products have been disappointing me lately and have decreased in reliability and quality since my first Luci light (that still works! And has outlived both of my newer luci’s) from about 10 years ago. Probably will sadly make the shift away from their products.
I bought this new and was sent a used item. Beware.
