Warm and durable!
I wore this jacket on the PCT for ~40 days when I needed to boost my warm clothing (Sierras in late September/early October). It is surprisingly warm and true to the Patagonia brand well made. It drys quickly and stands up to abuse. I quite often tied it around my waist under my back pack hip pads. I have continued to wear this jacket on week long backpacking trips and it just doesn't give up. It also went through puppy durability testing - those sharp teeth were no match for sturdy zipper pulls:)
Terrific jacket!
Great lightweight warm jackets. The sizing though is a little tricky. I would advise trying it on before ordering. Typically Patagonia clothing runs a little large. The problem is that if you downsize it may be a little tight with an under layer while a larger size may be too large.
The best jacket for winter!
I live in this jacket - thinking about buying a second one!
Excellent light weight jacket
This is the second R1 product from Patagonia I’ve bought because I love the first one so much (so now I have it in two collars). Durable, light, surprisingly warm, with zippered pockets, good for layering or by itself. Love the comfortable, flattering fit. I tend to get XS for Patagonia vests, but prefer Small for the R1 jacket.
