I bought these a few weeks ago and I love them. I am also a shorty (5'1"), with muscular thighs from all that hiking and biking. It is so rare to find a pair of pants that are the right length (ankle on me) and have room for my thighs while still fitting (with drawstring) in the waist. My only wish for improvement is actually a wish for all drawstring waists.... About half the times I have to go to the bathroom I inadvertently make a knot when I'm trying to untie the waist. End up with a mini-struggle at an inopportune time! That said, am still buying another pair today before they get changed or discontinued (please don't).
This may be my 6th or 7th pair of these pants in both lengths. They don’t wear out, they don’t stink, and the colors are great! I’m in love with the new drawcord, but I’m a little bummed about the change to the side zip, the old design let me drop my phone right in and not zip, this design means no phone in the pocket. I suspect it made assembly easier to have on the seam, but that feature was fantastic and really comfortable to not have the zipper aligned with the seam. I have walked the Camino Frances in dynama, fly fished all the rivers, hiked all the mountains, biked, and then worn them to dinner. They are simply the best. I’ll have to see if the pocket zipper changes my mind. This pair is coming to fish the largest atoll in the world, Kiribati.
I wanted these pants to be more fitted in the thigh (compared to the Dynama shorts), due to the tapering of the leg. I wear a medium in the shorts, but sized down after trying on size M and S in the pants. The M felt like too much extra material in the thighs. Wash and dry well, very comfortable, can be a little warm in hot weather but tolerable. I ordered a second pair to take on vacation. They pack up small and I’ve gotten multiple wears out of them before washing. Works for me!
Ordered a size smaller than shorts (size M to a S…for reference I’m 5’6”, 130 lbs.) for a less baggy fit, due to the slightly tapered leg. Washed and dried really well. Very comfortable in average and cool weather. A little warm in 80°+ weather, but tolerable. In warmer weather they stuck to my legs , which was a bit annoying, albeit temporarily. Bought a second pair. Looking to see how they hold up after multiple wears without washing while traveling. Fingers crossed!
At not quite 4'11" I'm a fan of the crop because no hemming is required! The fabric is soft and stretchy, but the pants have held their shape. Unfortunately, after only a couple of months of wear, there's pilling in the inner thigh area (hence the 4-star rating). Otherwise, these are awesome - I just bought a second pair :)
I have several Dynama bottoms -- shorts and pants -- and I really like them. They are comfortable and well-made, with nice touches. The crop pants are great, like the others. There are hand pockets and a zipped pocket on the side. Because they are lightweight and dry fast, they are good to pack for travel.
I love the Dynama line of pants and shorts. The fabric is light but sturdy and stretchy, waistbands are flexible. This particular pair (crop) is excellent, like the others. It has pockets including a side zip pocket. Great for travel, because they are so comfortable and lightweight. Very satisfied!
I have a number of shorts and now crops from mountain hardwear. I ordered 2 pairs of crops. The XL fits big so I ordered a L, the fit is great except the waistband is snug. There’s a 3” difference between the 2 sizes. Still love the product. Tried to use the discount coupons, didn’t work.
I wear these on every hike. I can’t say enough good things. They wick moisture, protect from the sun, prevent abrasions. I chose the crop because I’m 5’2 and like where they hit above my ankle. I have two pair. They are also great for travel and bike tiding.
Since last year...when I discovered how great this pants are I've ordered several in several different styles. Ive washed & worn these everyday.. I walk dogs, garden, hike and frankly I'm sick of leggings
