Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Nice coat but dirty

Cute coat not too cropped. Fits true to size maybe a little big. Would have given 5 stars but the collar was dirty with make up. This is the second time REI has sent me dirty clothes and Im starting to feel like their mom.

A Competitor for the Nuptse

In light of some trips to cold places coming up, I decided it was finally time to invest in a solid down coat and spent a lot of time online looking at reviews of the current popular options. I was looking for something that would strike the balance between practicality (warmth and comfort) and style (something that doesn't make me feel like the Michelin Man). Since it seemed to be so popular, I'd decided that North Face's Nuptse 1996 was probably a solid bet, but after going to the store and trying on several options, I was surprised that I wasn't actually thrilled with the fit. I didn't buy, and stopped at REI on the way home just in case and found this one on sale. Its fit was way more flattering on me than any of TNF's options that I'd tried, and without the massive price tag. I took it with me on a winter trip to NY and it kept me warm, dry, and cozy throughout. (It's got a 650 fill, pretty comparable, I'd imagine, to the Nuptse's 700 fill.) The size I got gives it a flattering oversized look that still leaves room for layering underneath. It feels sturdy, holds up well when you wash it, and has slim cuffs to keep you wrists warm, too. Honestly, couldn't be much happier with this, just sad to see that it's discontinued. I'd recommend snagging it while you can. For reference, I'm 5'5" and got size M.

I was overjoyed to see that this jacket was on sale for so cheap. It's very comfortable and fits okay - I would be an XXS but they don't carry that size. Personally, I think it's great for both casual outfits and outside activities.
