I really like this style, they’re relatively light weight and don’t have the 2 inch long stricture and the bottom of the legs, but simple elastic band that I much prefer. I just wish they had more than three colors to chose from. I do have a complaint about the REI credit card, though. I recently tried to charge something at REI with it and it was declined. I pay my bill upon receipt of the bill, so that can’t be the problem. When I called the number on the card I was transferred to the fraud department (in Columbia). I had a hard time understanding them, but it seems there are irregularities with my account and the wanted me to send photos of the front and back of my driver’s license. I’ve never, ever been asked for this by a credit card company. So, I refused to do so. Guess I won’t use this card again.

I attempted to purchase this item on line from REI, as it was listed as in stock. Three days after I placed my order, I received an email telling me my order was canceled. No reason was provided. I assume that the on line inventory was inaccurate, that the item was not in stock. Badly managed by REI in terms of inventory management and communication with the would be customer.
