Recently purchased (December 2025) in a M based on the virtual recommendation on the Patagonia site. Wow was that waaaaay off. The shoulders were good. The waist and chest a bit big but not crazy but the sleeves went past my fingertips. That’s a solid 3-4” too long. No wonder they have 6’3” models wearing mediums. You need gorilla arms to fit the sleeves! For normal folks you need to size down. I would actually go down a to 3 stars usually based on how off the size was the quality appears high. Going to send back and size down but was disappointed by the initial product. Picture is a comparison to a TNF I’m replacing so you see the sleeve length difference - it’s big.
Love this jacket! Warm, well made and very visible on the slopes!
I love this high quality ski jacket. The sleeves are a little long and the hood fits nicely providing great protection from wind and cold. I'm 6' 170 and I have a lot of room with a size medium. All the reports about it running big seem accurate to me. I purchased the smolder blue/cement color and they are very nice contrasting shades of blue. It is a very stylish jacket in an outdoorsy, athletic style and I don't feel pictures do the jacket justice. Looks great with a pair of jeans or cargo pants for those times wearing it around town. The only negative, and reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is because the jacket could use more insulation. REI lists this jacket in the "warmest" category and it is far from being a down parka. In anything under 20 degrees, you're going to want to wear an insulated layer underneath in addition to a sweater. The jacket is definitely built with layering in mind. I considered returning this jacket because it wasn't that heavy and this is replacing my heavy winter coat but I liked everything else about the jacket so much that I decided to keep it.
Perfect jacket for skiing, snow, and in general. Warm enough but with zippers on the arm pits for quick heat release. Size fit well enough for a layer(s) underneath.
excellent well constructed and details very thought out. Typical Patagonia excellence
