Pros: Super easy to set up this tent, literally takes 3 min or less, minus the awning poles which probably add a couple more min. We have this set up on our ford lightning which is a pretty tall truck. The ladder is extended to its max setting for our vehicle. I will say if you do have a tall vehicle, a step stool might be beneficial unless you’re over 6ft tall. I usually just stand on my tires and that works fine. You first have to unclip the cover, super easy, cress over the tailgate area, flip the cover up, then unclip the side snap, hook the ladder on and flip it over. Same thing to stow it, just tuck the fabric in. The fabric is canvas and weatherproof while still being breathable, you don’t wake up feeling wet in the cold or sweating when it’s hot. Also a benefit for kids, it’s near blackout inside so no one is waking up at the crack of dawn. The one downside: on the highway if you get a strong cross breeze the cover will vibrate and sound like it’s flapping like crazy. We've pulled over a few times to make sure it was tightened down all the way (which it was) the flapping just gets annoying to listen to. I have read that the cover can rip over time if it’s over tightened, we also have not had that issue. The mattress isn’t super thick but it’s tolerable. Ultimately we decided to trade this one in for the 3.0 hard cover.
