The Battery length, fine, pretty long for a small thing, and the LED lights are very bright. But the solar panel... whether in direct sunlight or not, The 3 lights it starts out in in-the-box can never be raised back again. I heard that a fully charged battery deteriorates faster on a shelf than a half charged one, and I wonder if that's the problem here, because I even let it charge fully on my parent's roof, and it still could not hit the 3 bars it started with.
~decade later..
recieved one of these as a gift and it finally quit after almost a decade of heavy use. it stopped being waterproof at some point but kept working anyway. used it almost every night as mood lighting and took it everywhere. charged it on a hot dash and left it out in the rain. time for a new one. i love the color tones.
very expensive but great light
great little light! BUT !!!!! we started buying these when they were MUCH cheaper, and every purchase helped African villages, so not it's three times more expensive and doesn't benefit anyone?
