Spring is the best!
For long bike rides, I always rely on Spring Energy’s Awesome Sauce, especially during tough climbs. The apple cinnamon flavour is smooth and easy to take down, even during hard efforts. I usually pair it with Hill Aid, another gel from Spring that’s perfect for when I need an extra kick. Strawberry is another favourite of mine for longer rides, offering a refreshing taste that keeps things interesting. What I love most about these gels is their real food ingredients they give me steady energy without upsetting my stomach or causing sugar crashes. Whether I’m tackling steep hills or pushing through a long training day, Spring Energy gels keep me going strong.
This is absolutely the best
Spring Energy’s Awesome Sauce is a real game-changer for endurance athletes. The flavour is smooth and naturally sweet without being overpowering, and the texture is just right—not too thick, not too runny—making it easy to consume mid-run. What sets it apart is the clean, real-food ingredient list that provides steady, reliable energy without the sugar spikes or crashes you get with other gels. It’s gentle on the stomach, even during long efforts, and the simple packaging is perfect for tearing open on the go. While a larger pouch option could be handy for ultra-distance runners, Awesome Sauce is hands down one of the best gels out there for anyone who values taste, performance, and quality ingredients. This is absolutely the best
Climbing secret sauce
Hill aid is super good to get through hard crux’s on big routes.
Tastiest Gel!
I was surprised at how good this "gel" tasted. It tastes like apple pie filling and I loved seeing real food ingredients being used. So many other gels I've had are so synthetic tasting I've had trouble eating them, but these are not only easy to eat, I actually enjoy eating them.
Hard to beat!
Awesome Sauce is a great choice for any endurance activities (I use it on hikes). It tastes natural, goes down easy, and provides steady energy without any surprises with my stomach. Simple, effective, and made with real ingredients….hard to beat.
Tasty as heck
Awesome sauce is the best tasting Gel by far and it doesn't make my stomach hurt
Love Spring Energy!
I have used Spring Energy gels for 4 years in all distances and love them. Real food, real energy, no GI issues even during 100 milers.
Love this stuff
Loooveee the apple cinnamon flavor. So tasty and sits well on the stomach. Even snack on it sometimes at work.
Swimming!
I looooove this stuff before a long swim practice
Really tasty, but not 100% sold
A couple things. Taste, Cost and Customer Service. Taste: It's not often I'm pleasantly surprised by an energy gel (or any sports nutrition product). I've accepted gels and their counterparts as a necessary piece of fueling for longer outings. These gels were really enjoyable. During some high volume training over the winter, i dabbled with two gels by Spring (Awesome Sause and Hill Aid). Both were great tasting and easy to get down the hatch. Cost: But dang, this cost too much. They are not my primary fuel. I use them to supplement bigger days when i know I'll be out for a handful of hours. I look forward to consuming these, and the same cannot be said of other gels out there. Customer Service: Many folks out there have questioned things like are the totals calories and stated volume of food inside the pack true or not. Folks on reddit and other sites have said Spring is engaging in false advertising. When asked about it, Spring essentially tells customers "don't let the door hit you on the way out" and tells them good luck looking elsewhere for what you're after. Sure, I wish they treated people nicer, but if their product works great, maybe there isnt incentive for them to do anything about the complaints. Kinda like that one EV car maker who makes great products but is owned by a guy with a bad reputation. Spring gives the same email response to everyone who write intothem asking for info.
