FAvorite

One of my favorite Farm to Summit meals. I have stocked up on this for picnics, quick meals in the car (good by, fast food) and of course camping. It has crunch, and a fresh taste. I don't know how they do it!

Love this Cold Soak vegetable goodness!

The Thai Carrot Slaw is the most perfect, crunchy, fresh, dehydrated lunch in my opinion. Tastes like a salad fresh out of the fridge when you cold soak this one. It’s a good alternative to warm dehydrated meals when you want to make it on the go, it can soak in your bag while you hike before sitting down to lunch.

Not my favorite

I love Farm to Summit meals however I did not particularly enjoy this one. Expected something more flavorful, it just just kinda bitter and damp.

Stay away, expensive not worth it.

Wild reviews. This is absolutely the worst backpacking meal I have ever had. I don't understand how anyone rates this above a big fat zero. The worst and most expensive meal I have ever had. Stay away from this brand.

Wish I could give 10 stars

I am obsessed with this slaw. I stress about not getting enough veggies in the backcountry and this insanely delicious/easy (just add cold water!) slaw is a dream come true. It is SO delicious! Great for sharing as an add on to another meal or sometimes I’ll make it, eat half and split between two meals. I don’t mean to be dramatic, but this slaw revolutionizes backcountry meals!!

10/10!!!

This meal is so good I actually made it at home instead of while I was backpacking. I know that’s crazy but it was amazing. The flavors are all there and it’s so easy- textures were great and I normally see that decline in backpacking meals. The fact that this company is also made ethically/sustainably makes it a 10/10!!!

No sir, I don't like it.

I was really curious to try this one since I love Thai food, and I was intrigued by not needing hot water for it. I prepared it for my lunch one day during a field outing, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of those meals that I had to force myself to eat enough of purely for the sake of needing nutritional fuel and having no other options at the time apart from small hiking snacks. As I said, I love Thai food, but whatever this is, it is not Thai. It has nothing about it that I could find to link it to Thai cuisine apart from the presence of vegetables that are also used in Thai cooking. The flavor was bitter and unpleasant, and the fact that it was just cold, soggy, fibrous gunk made it a chore to chew and swallow. The only redeeming quality about that meal was the fact that I had included a hard-boiled egg in my food container along with it, so at least I had that to enjoy, but I did not at all care for the overpriced sour rabbit food that came out of this pouch.

Cold Soaking Glory

It rehydrates evenly and the flavor is great! Honestly the ability to have any sort of veggie in trail is wonderful to have. It also has a packet of peanuts for an extra crunch. Would definitely recommend.

Bomb slaw

Absolute must have. Crunch, tangy, a little sweet, a little spicy. Pretty much everything I crave when adventuring. Awesome on a wrap with hummus!!! I have even eaten in hot ramen. Bomb.

Salad for the Trail

We were really impressed with this slaw. It's definitely the closest thing to fresh produce I've had in a backpacking meal. It was very tasty combined with the red curry.
