making the switch from plastic to reusable.

the local tap city water is not a good idea for consumption in my opinion. so for alternative use. . it was other filtered products. that were too expensive for replacement and the bottled water was the next solution . not a fan of plastic. however recycling ♻️ is the daily norm in my house. so the search began in an endeavor of finding the solution to get away from plastic. the life straw is the best solution! reusable. reducing waste and helping children with clean safe drinking water. it’s not complicated to make the decision to use life straw instead. makes the local water safe and palatable . have since ordered more products to use in the house. thank you!

Water still has a “taste”

I bought this bottle with plans to use it at Disney. I have only tested this on 2 sources of water at home; city tap water and filtered fridge water. While both have improved taste, I can still identify the city water. For those interested, this bottle holds 19. 3 oz water when filled at the max line and due to the length of the straw, there is 1. 48 oz of undrinkable water, leaving you with ~17. 8 oz of filtered water. When filled, it weighs ~2lb, 3oz- so keep that in mind if you’re backpacking. I hope this bottle makes the swampy Florida water drinkable at Disney. Otherwise, I don’t think I would purchase again.

Awesome Water Bottle!

Please don’t wait to buy this water bottle, it’s amazing! If you’re carrying it for a long time and it’s completely full, it does get a bit heavy. I have the blue one and have been receiving so many compliments.

A great idea, but...

I love the idea of this, it seems like such a win-win. I found the bottle to be pretty heavy once the bottle is full and when the water level is too low, the filter still has water in it so the bottle is still pretty heavy, this makes it undesirable for me to take it traveling unless on a road trip. Also, the capacity is less than you would think. I drink a lot of water throughout the day and found that I have to fill the bottle very often. Once the water level reaches a certain level, it becomes difficult to pull the water through the mouthpiece so it needs to be filled before all the water is consumed. I find it pretty annoying. I probably won't use it very much and have ordered a LifeStraw Pitcher that I can use at home instead.

Love the bottle, but the jury’s still out on its taste-improving capabilities...

So far, I’m really pleased with the bottle’s ability to make virtually any water drinkable. I’ve been using it on an island – where the water is not unsafe but heavily treated - and while I am convinced it’s keeping any and all microbes out, the charcoal filter doesn’t seem to help mask the chlorine taste very much. Maybe it’s just because there’s so much chlorine in the water and no filter would be a miracle against it. But that’s why I’ve given it 4 out of 5 stars. The bottle overall is really nice and sleek, though. Love it!

Safe, Great Tasting Water Abroad and at Home

I bought two Lifestraw bottles—one for my daughter and one for myself—before our last trip to Mexico. I travel there a lot, and I really wanted to have a way to filter all the water I drink, including the filtered bottled water that’s used for drinking there. The bottles worked perfectly on our trip: we had continual access to safe, great tasting water. Neither of us got sick (best part!), and we’ve both been using our Lifestraws every day since returning home because of the convenience. We both LOVE our Lifestraws!

I LOVE it! So glad

I LOVE it! So glad to have a non plastic option.. i consider my life straw water bottles a staple in life! The only thing I wish w the new steel bottle was if there was a way to connect the lid ... Im going to try to rig somehting up w duct tape... and a bungie cord... Im so worried Im going to loose the lid.. and then the whole thing will not be a reliable transportable bottle.. And I love your company so much. nothing is more important than safe clean drinking water. I wish I could by one for everyone!

Think I should have bought the next size up

I like the LifeStraw Go Series Stainless Steel 18 oz but I think maybe I should have bought the next size up. I took it with me on my vacation to Europe during the heat wave and unfortunately you can't fit ice cubes in with the membrane microfilter. If the ice was really small you can maybe get two pieces and ice / cold water is really hard to come by if you aren't in the US. I love using it when the water is already chilled!

A waterbottle you'll be glad to have at your side!

I love my lifestraw products and was super excited to add this! I was a little worried about the size but it fits comfortably in all my carry spaces for water bottles! I do have to say that sometimes it's a fight to get the water up the internal straw, but overall the safety of my water is worth a little extra (literal) sucking! lol. I am thinking of getting the larger one for my adventure trip later this year.

All water tastes good enough to drink now!

I love my Go series water bottle. This is my first straw type water bottle, so I had to get used to not tipping it up to drink. I don’t find it difficult to use at all. It is a little bit bigger than the cup holder in my car’s center console, but it fits in the door cup holder. It’s not too heavy to carry around. It makes all water taste neutral, which is why I got it. I can’t stand bad tasting water.
