Overall Excellent Bag – For the Price

This bag is so incredibly warm and relatively light for the temperature limit. It is also fairly priced, in fact, it is one of the cheaper -20 degree bags on the market. Although it is one of the cheaper options from a reputable brand, it does what you need it to do while being extremely comfortable. Do not use this if you will be in 10F or warmer temperatures. You will likely overheat, even in base layers. You are limited on ventilation options, as this bag is designed to keep you as warm as possible. The only thing I would have loved to see different was a different zipper. You will see many people on other websites reviewing this bag and giving it a poor rating ONLY for the zipper design. Yes, if you zip up too quickly, you run the risk of the zipper catching on the material and ripping. Just get into the bag at a normal speed, and guide the zipper using your fingers to ensure it does not get caught on anything. And that is really it. The zipper isn't BAD, it's just not my preferred choice for a nearly $700 sleeping bag. I have zipped this thing up and down while inside of the bag maybe 30 times and at no point did I think I ripped the bag or was close to it. Just be smart. I am also a sucker for the red/black color design... But that's irrelevant if it doesn't keep you toasty, but this thing really does. I have used it for lesser snowshoe backpacking trips, but I do plan on using it for Mt Rainier earlier in the season next year.
