As a snowboarder, I find

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a snowboarder, I find the 686 Men's Waterproof Hoody to be a great blend of style and functionality. The infiDRY:registered: 10K fabric provides excellent waterproofing, essential for snowy conditions. Its breathable design ensures comfort during intense rides. The 3-layer bonded fabric with fleece backing is ideal for warmth, and the underarm vents are a plus for temperature regulation. The adjustable cuffs and zippered kangaroo pouch add practicality. The modern fit allows for easy layering without restricting movement, crucial for snowboarding. Overall, it’s a solid choice for style-conscious riders looking for reliable performance on the slopes.

Best of Both Worlds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this hoodie/jacket. I used to ride in just a normal hoodie all the time until I found one of these at my local mountain a few years ago. I couldn't pass up something that feels like a hoodie but blocks the wind and the water like a jacket My taste in looseness changed as I got older so I just bought a new one in a size down. The front of the hood changed on the black one, to sort of cover your neck more like a snow jacket, since I bought my first one. I liked it better when the hood was more like an every day hoodie but that's just personal preference. I'd guess the change was made to suit the majority of people.

Waterproof Hoodie

I absolutely love my two 686 WaterProof Hoodies. But I have always thought a couple improvements would take them to the next level (vents). I just got the new 2024 Version and I am so disappointed in the collar. My favorite thing about the other two I own is that it has a sweatshirt style collar. The new one has a super uncomfortable and intrusive collar such as a zipper up shell. I am going to cut out the unnecessary overbuilt chin piece and reset the seams. The quality of this is spot on as always, but as the old saying goes, Why Fix Something That Isn’t Broke?Bring back the low collar please. 🤘

One of my favorite 686 pieces!

By far one of my most favorite pieces of 686 gear I've picked up over the years. And i'm talking going back at least 15+ years. Great waterproofing. Love the pockets, and the style is top notch. I also was out wearing this with an under hoody, and a single long sleeve on and it gold windy, cold, and started snowing bad. Thankfully I had my hinged balaclava so my face was good once I pulled that out, but this Hoody never flinched! A+ on this one. I typically wear an L jacket/hoody and got the L size in this, and it's a perfect fit even with a layer or two underneath.

there's a reason zippers are in the middle, not the side.

the waterproof ability of this is good, it's a nice midlayer/shell for cold dry days. I don't like the side zipper though. it's kind of a pain in the butt. if you snowboard with a goofy stance, it'll be perfect because the zipper is downwind of your leading leg, if you ride regular, with the zipper open, it'll be flapping like a sail. Just put the zipper in the middle so it'll work equally for all riders, goofy and regular. I don't like having something open that flies in my face when I ride switch. it kind of defeats the purpose

Ready for spring skiing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the NASA edition, and WOW does it look awesome. I'm so excited to rock this on warmer days this winter and into spring. Looks aside, it's still clearly well made--warm on the inside, weatherproofed on the outside, with all the tech I want when I'm on the mountain. I do wish that the openings of the sleeves were a little softer--at least out of the package, the hoodie is a little stiff, which might not work great in conjunction with my gloves. Either way, I'm still looking forward to wearing this on the slopes!

686 WPH - The one and only!

Best waterproof hoodie on the market, I borrowed by friends last season and immediately needed my own. These sell out fast. I searched for 6 months before I found a black one in my size. Now I'm thinking I should of got the blue one too. Fit is loose. I'm 5'8, 160 lbs and chest is 40". I got a medium and it's loose, which is perfect for those aggressive runs at the park. The style is subtle, yet distinctive and most importantly, functional, making this hoodie classic! Better get one before they sell out again!

Sick Waterproof Iron Maiden Hoody by 686!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hoodie feels great and looks sick! I've skied a few days in it, and it fits well and really feels waterproof. I like the pockets a lot, and the Iron Maiden graphics on it are sick! I am looking forward to lots of spring ski days in it this year! I am 5'6 and 155 lbs. I probably would have bought a large if it was available, but the medium fits me well and is still a little baggy, like I like. The neck hole is a little tight to get my head through, but the side zipper makes it easy to slide on.

Runs small, great otherwise

Got a medium since it said “modern” baggy fit, but is tight in chest area with just a t shirt on and I just recently lost 15lbs as a result of a surgery (I was unable to eat and was deathly sick). I am a shorter and muscular build with broader shoulders and back. Length of sleeves and waist is perfect though. Will likely have to send it back because I will gain weight back and I will likely not be wearing just a t shirt underneath the hoodie when I’m out on the slopes.
