Wears out quickly, not for hiking, bad thumbholes

Loved this sunshirt until it started to wear out after only a couple hikes. Cannot withstand ANY pack points! If you’re going to wear for a casual outing & not have anything touching the fabric it’s fine. But that doesn’t make much sense for outdoor gear does it? It dries quickly, silky smooth, comfortable & flattering. As others have said the thumbholes ARE weirdly cut, don’t fit correctly, & uncomfortable with the seaming. I just opted to not use the thumbholes. As expensive as it is, should be much better quality. After poor luck with this brand, I bought a 2nd backcountry sunshirt.

Tight in shoulders

Fit is odd for boating wear - tight in shoulders, loose in waist and forearms. The hoodie and back length do provide coverage from sun. As others noted, the thumb holes are too high in sleeve (I'm short, but not that short!). Fabric is a little heavy (purchased to wear kayaking for sun protection). If I had tried it on in the store, I may have passed, but need it for the summer.

Great shirt but thumb holes aren't well placed

I bought this shirt for a Middle Fork Salmon River trip - 7 days in intense sun. I really like everything about this shirt. Great cut, the hoodie is perfect for protecting your neck from the sun, breathable, etc. Except... the thumb holes hurt my hands because the sleeves were too short. One of the reasons I wear a sunshirt while rowing is to protect the back of my hands from the sun, but I couldn't use them because the fabric dug into my skin at the base of the thumb. This could have been avoided with a slightly longer sleeve. I ended up not being able to use the thumb holes.

Comfortable

Comfortable, lightweight, nice thumb holes and no chafing seams ... but the material is not overly wicking, and I found that it smelled at the end of the day. It was purchased for multiday no washing available, hence 4 stars instead of 5, but if you can wash it at the end of the day it is perfect.

Gotta have it.

Love these shirts. They are durable, comfortable, and well made. I wear them almost daily, hiking, river, yard work, biking, you name it. Best sun layer on the market in my opinion.
