The Granville backpack has been my go to pack for most activites, and it's done me so well on many trips. I love the sleek and minimal design, and the compartments being all on the inside - alongside a durable exterior - gives me a sense of security to carry all my personal belongings everywhere I go. Although, I find that the front pocket just runs a little too deep. I often find that I have to dig in quite deep when having to fish out smaller items at the bottom end of the pocket. Overall though, high quality of a backpack and still very functional for such a minimal looking pack.
I mean, it’s a backpack. Let’s get that out of the way. It won’t change your life. But it’s a thoughtful backpack. It has the perfect pockets for my usb cables, my charging cable, big notebook, small notebook, a few pens, and then the cave for everything else. I thought I would hate the drawstring closure, but it suits the bag perfectly. Great access, makes the most of the space. The fabric seems very durable, and while the black colour does get scuffed up easily, it can be wiped clean, and it all the grime builds up a neat patina that goes well with the bag’s brutalist vibe. The rigid back panel means it’s also easy to throw a high vis cover on it if you’re cycle commuting, no matter how full or empty it is. It only loses a star because it appears to have two loops to attach a removable waist strap… but doesn’t come with a waist strap, and it’s unclear where to get one.
I love this backpack! I got it in the "Tatsu" colour it looks amazing, super clean and stylish without being flashy. I went with the 25L version mainly because of the way it closes I like that top flap way better than the smaller version. It’s also roomier than it looks, fits everything I need for the day. Really happy with it!
