Big Deal!
Okay I just got back from my first trip with this thing and it was transformational. My trip was so much better for it. I was tired of being on the ground and my friends campers kept looking better and better. You can level this up and no roots or rocks under you. I use furniture pads under the feet to protect the tent floor. The cot is heavy, which is good, it doesn’t shift and squeak around, very solid. It’s taut and pretty darn flat. Setup is easy. Check your tent size, it’s rather large. But I was able to put so much gear under it I felt I had more space left than if I had a pad on the floor. Being able to sit on it rather than rolling myself off the floor was great. I’ll also add that we had a monsoon and I had tent trouble, some water inside. Had I been on the floor that would have been bad. I used an older Thermarest pad on it and found it very comfortable. Anyway, if you’re like me and trying to up your tent and sleeping game I highly recommend this cot. Why didn’t I think of it sooner! It really made a big difference.
Heavy but worth it for extended car trips.
Heavy but worth it for extended car trips. I gave it a 4 star review because it gets you high off the ground. I highly recommend that you get a good sleeping pad to put on top. Setup is nice and fast. Take down is just as easy.
Good solid bed. wide enough
Good solid bed. wide enough for a grown adult. It is easy to set up and fold away and pretty comfortable for a camp stretcher. Only issue that i see is the small area of the feet would cause pressure on the tent floor. A wider foot print would spread the pressure
Fragile?
I unfolded it in my living room to test out; it was comfortable. As I folded it up again, the fabric caught in the metal legs and ripped.
Be careful!
Be careful closing this cot! Fabric caught in leg hinge and ripped with very pressure when closing the cot.
