Coleman  Skydome XL Dark Room 10-Person Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So as a family that loves to go camping, I decided to get this giant tent for my family and I. It has dark light technology so once you put the flap ontop it blocks out all the sun. The tent fits 10 people and 3 queen blow up mattresses. The tent was awesome and it literally only took 5 MINUTES! It was so easy to set up beachside by our house and quick take down as well. I am very impressed with this tent set up.. Another plus is that there are two doors, one in the front and one in the back so wherever its set up you can enter from both sides! It has some room seperators if you wanted to split it up and have privacy between sides of the tent.

We love how spacious this tent is and the dark room feature really does make this tent cooler inside and keeps the heat out, so this will be the perfect tent for hot summers. This tent is relatively simple to put up and also take down. This sets up quickly as the poles are attached to the tent with easy to read instructions, sewn into the storage bag. There’s a screen roof on the tent as well and a cover that goes over that, which is optional. But keeping it covered definitely keeps it cool inside the tent. Another feature I like about this tent is that there’s vents on each side of the tent to keep air flowing, nicely. Overall this is a good family tent that is big enough for a whole family and fits three queen sized air mattresses. There’s also a room diverter that’s optional. This is the perfect tent and we highly recommend this and love it so much!

I was really impressed with the Coleman Skydome 10P XL Dark Room Tent. The waterproofing held up great during a rainy weekend, and the inside stayed completely dry. The durability is solid—the fabric feels tough and the frame is sturdy enough to handle strong wind. The assembly was easier than I expected for such a large tent, and I could set it up fairly quickly on my own. Ventilation is excellent, with good airflow that kept the tent cool during the day and fresh at night. Despite its size, the portability is convenient since it packs down into a manageable bag. Overall, this tent is reliable, spacious, and perfect for family camping trips.

Keeps it nice and dark, which allowed me to sleep in. Walls get pretty warm in the sun, but it does cool off rather quickly. Wish it was taller as my head hits the ceiling everywhere but the middle. We switched from an older Coleman Canyon Ranch (I believe). The footprint on this one is similar, but smaller. My head did not hit the ceiling in the old tent and hoped this would be the same. Unfortunately, it is not. Also, stake points in the middle of the short ends would be a nice addition. This tent only stakes at the corners on the short ends. Overall, decent tent and it kept us dry with one night of decent rainfall.

It is a breeze to set up and so easy that even my two young teenage kids can do it. It come with everything you need and it provides a comfortable enclosure that blocks the light so you can get a good night's sleep. Also the material it is made of is thick enough that you can turn a light on and change your clothes without putting on a show for the rest of the camp grounds. It is completely water-proof and it holds very well under the rain. When you are done, it is so easy to pack. Comfortable, spacious, private, easy to set up and from a brand we know and trust, this is highly recommended!

Was impressed with tent. Easy set up. It was super dark inside so that took a moment to adjust. We had air conditioner inside and in TX heat it was very comfortable. 2 doors is neat feature. First night had storm and tent held up well with wind and rain. Got 2 Queen air mattresses comfortably with AC and still had wiggle room.

camping makes easier with this! I love how this tent protects us from bugs and flies. my baby sleeps well inside whenever we go camping for two nights in the forest, this is also reliable and comfortable for a family of three. the space is great! you can bring it anywhere with you or place it in the trunk!

Love the size and roominess. But unfortunately it’s not total black out. The edges of the floor let in light and the rain fly doesn’t fully cover the front door area so a lot of light comes through the top the the door. Such a bummer.

After 2 years of use a lot of the blackout material is peeling off. It does not handle wind well. Ends like to fold down in 15-20mph wind even with the extra strings tied down. During the most recent rain we got, rain was pouring in all over the place as the rain fly is beginning to fail and leak. For the money they tent should last much longer. I should have known with it only having a 1 year warranty. We are not very heavy users of this tent. Maybe 3 trips a year. We always completely dry it out before putting it away.

The skydome tent 10p was an amazing tent to add to my camping arsenal. It’s portable, light weight and easy to assemble. It’s got a great design that others have lacked for making sure it’s dry but breathable enough when required. The materials have been robust and have had no issues with tears. With its size it makes it comfortable to move around in and keep things dry and out of the elements. For anyone looking for a bigger tent, I would highly recommend!
