[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an outside camp out with the kids in the woods behind the house and they loved it and so did we it was easy to assemble the bag it was in made it seem so light to carry the instructions were easy to understand and it was up in minutes we had 5 in the tent and it was very roomy we were all comfy and it was a cool looking tent we all loved it especially the kids definitely would recommend it to anyone wanting an easy durable tent

First time out camping with this tent on Lake Superior, and it collapsed in the middle of the night. See those bends in the poles between the "walls" and the "roof"? Yeah, they're prone to buckling at the first sign of a windy night. Not ideal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my family loves to go camping at the lake and when we do it always gets hot in the tent from the sun rising and the sun always wakes us up super early from it becoming super bright in the tent so when I seen this one that reduces the sun brightness in the tent I had to get it ! And guess what it comes in a really nice carry bag and the tent was super fast to set up I think it took about maybe 5 mins tops if that ! It fits us all with room to spare! It holds a big queen size air mattress easily and and it stays pretty dark and a nice temp inside ! And when it’s time to take down it’s really easy and fits back in the carry bag easily with no issues ! I love this tent !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been camping for 25+ years and this tent has a definite advantage in darkening. I got it as a possible separate tent for our kids and I think it has a definite advantage to standard tents. I was able to set it up mostly alone (with "assistance" from my 5yo), and take it down completely alone. The poles being mounted to the tent frame is a definite advantage. I did notice a few scratches or thin spots in the rainfly. Other than that, no noticeable defects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second tent. We are a family of four, and our first tent we purchased was an 8-person tent. Our thought was the more people, the more space. However, this tent will likely become our new go to. It has more than enough space for all four of us, is super easy and quick to set up, and is extremely versatile. We set it up, tested it out, and packed it away within 45 minutes...now that we’ve figured it out, we could probably do set up and break down in 30 minutes total (with two kids under 6) Coleman makes this super easy for you. My recommendation is to test it out before hand and then you’re golden. I was amazed by how much thought was put into this tent. The black out feature is brilliant for small kids (or those who like to sleep in). We tested in midday full sun - no clouds - and I easily could have napped the afternoon away. It also cut down on the heat in the afternoon sun. If you like the natural light, there’s that option too. Versatility is crucial with this tent. There’s a place to hang a lantern inside, a pocket for storage on the side, and a canopy to store things overhead. Coleman makes this ridiculously easy for you to set up/break down - don’t overthink it. The rods are attached. They seem really long and you might second guess the rain fly, but don’t. You’re setting It up correctly (intuitively). The awning is separate and obvious. It gets worked through the fabric on the front (Coleman logo is on the sides) and is really simple once you get it figured out (read : test it out and you’ve got it). Seriously one of the best tents and we are going to use it like crazy. Cant wait!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Coleman 4 person Dark Room Skydome camping tent in the color blue to test. The bag that holds the tent has written on it that it’s a quick setup taking under 5 minutes. The bag also lists as having 20% more headroom than other Coleman dome tents, a wide door design, weathertec system’s welded corners and inverted seams to keep the water out. I thought the best feature is the dark room technology that blocks out 90% sunlight and reduce heat in the sun. It’s been awhile since I’ve gone camping but my daughter is 4 years old now and likes to try new things. I had previously purchased a 2 person tent for my husband to use with my daughter but we needed a bigger one to fit the whole family. I was extremely happy to get the chance to test this 4 person tent. Since it’s been awhile since I went camping and set up tents, it took me 20 minutes to set up the first time and 18 mins to take down. The setup looked easy enough but I did break a sweat trying to set it up. I should mention that its currently the middle of winter in MN, so I set the tent up in my living room to test. I do like the wide door and more headroom. I’m 5’2 and can almost completely stand up. However, my favorite feature is the dark room technology. Back when I used to go camping, I hated how hot the tent could get and how bright it was inside the tent. Now with the dark room technology, I can sleep later into the day and it would stay cooler that my other tents. Plus, I can get my kids to go to sleep earlier since the tent will be dark so they can sleep. Overall, I really like this tent. I think after using the tent more often I will eventually get it to the point where I can get it setup in 5 mins. My daughter can’t wait to camp outside when summer comes. Pros: Dark Technology is awesome, 5 min set up once you know what you are doing, weathertec system’s welded corners and inverted seams to keep the water out, wide door, and more headroom Con: I wish the pictures to put the tent away was a little more clear.

The tent has a sturdy, user friendly case. From the unzipping of the case to crawling into our sleeping bags, took less than 5 minutes. Is takes only a couple of simple steps to set it up. The tent is sturdy construction, roomy compared to other 4-persons that I've used. We bought the blue color and has a great look when set up. The construction is sturdy and this tent will stand up for many trips, we can tell. The breakdown and storing back into the case was just as simple as it's set up. Great tent!!!

The Coleman 4 person Skydome Dark Room tent, is everything I have been searching for. The tent offers higher headspace and a large entry opening. The opening is perfect for all the ins and out of children and our pup. The darkroom feature is perfect for blocking the bright sunlight, which gives me relief and provides the perfect napping ambiance. The tent its self is a sinch to set up and similarly as easy to break down. It stores away so compact, it fits easily in a trunk, truck bed or even just hanging on the floorboards while you head to your next adventure! Check out my picture to see how small!! In the end this ten was perfect for my small family and I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for space and comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this tent to use this summer to take the kids camping. We have a bigger one for the kids and this one will be for us because....I don't want to be squeezed into a small space with teenage boy feet. It's a cute tent that definitely requires two people to put up. The material is nice. The top is mesh to allow you to see out and to allow circulation but it has a flap you can add to keep the light and rain out. The only downside is the same as with any tent....once out of the bag they never want to go back in. But like I said that's going to happen with any tent so not a huge deal.
