Printed side down for comfort.
Nice, small and light. I have used this pillow on three trips now so feel I can comment. I found the printed side uncomfortable so use the unprinted side facing up. The face side up is way more comfortable for this belly sleeper. If you sleep on your back this may not be an issue but unprinted side facing up is the best.

Must have, I used to use my clothing as a pillow for 20 years camping and after getting a pillow that packs small and fits in a backpack easily I realized what better sleep I could get.

Great, soft pillow. Didn’t lose air and great height for me who loves to side sleep. The down top Makes it very soft and cushy.
