Awesome pad! But the bag…

The pad is great! Just got back from a few nights backpacking and couldn’t be happier. For me the wide is totally worth the little extra space and weight. Super comfortable. My only complaint is the bag is already coming apart at the seams. Disappointing because I think the compression bag is a great idea.

Definitely comfortable

Very comfortable to sleep on. Not my favorite to inflate. Only used it once so far so maybe I just need to get used to the valve. Last pad I had was just real simple, one to blow in, one to deflate. Upgrade in comfort makes getting used to newness worth it.

Uncomfortable for a side sleeper

Spent one night on this pad and did not sleep much. This product seems oriented towards someone who sleeps on their back only. I wasn't unable to get comfortable on this pad, sleeping on my side. This is unfortunate because most of the population sleeps on their side, and it's actually better for you health-wise according to many studies. Additionally, I'm 5'10" and felt like, even if I slept on my back, the pad was a bit to small for me as my shoulders spilled over the edges and I felt like unless I made my body into a perfect cocoon shape, I would fall over the edge. I did like that the pad contains some inner foam as this really does make the pad more comfortable compared to others that are air only. However, I think for now, I will stick to my older therm-a-rest, which takes up a little more space on my pack, but is more comfortable. That said, my wife is a fan of this pad and uses it. She agreed that the pad basically forces you to sleep on your back, but she is a bit smaller than me and is okay sleeping on her back while camping.

Two uses and a hole formed near the inlet. Not good for side sleepers.
