[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent stacks up with those other expensive big name brand tent companies. This tent has over 55 camping miles and is still in excellent conditions. The PACNORWEST winters are wet, windy, and nasty but this tent keeps doing its job. Pictures taken at the Olympic Mountains.
using it for 17 years ( had to replace 1 pole so far thru TNF warranty ) ...i have used in multiple continents..this thing is bomb proof. ( now that it is showing some signs of wear , need to buy a new one when i get a deal :) )
Bought this tent as online purchase and found three items missing: tent stakes, snow anchors, and window in rain fly. Customer service was readily helpful but could not explain reasons for missing items. They sent me a complete replacement that did include the tents stakes and the snow anchors, but the rain fly still does not have a vestibule window as advertised and shown on both REI and North Face websites. This wasn't a deal breaker in my opinion but would have been a potentially nice feature. As for the tent itself, it is high quality and closely matches the old Marmot Bastille tent I loved and used for over a decade but which had aged out of service. This tent is almost an exact replica with some feature improvements (pole sleeves easier to use, vestibule setup easier, vestibule snow skirts).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE! Great 2-person tent. First time, condensation, second time, none. When properly vented, this tent is a must for winter camping. Comes with everything you need (and four snow flap things that I have no idea what to do with). Great product. Well-made. Not the lightest, but I have figured out what to leave at home to lighten the load a little. Can fully sit up without heading your head (5'10") and LOTS of pockets on the inside. Snagged it on a great sale which makes it even better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this tent for ski mountaineering and mountain hunting (goats, sheep, caribou, grizzly) in Alaska, where conditions can be difficult. It weighs a bit more but offers protection that inspires confidence to push the envelope and climb, ski, and hunt in places that might kill you if your gear fails.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live van life in the summers and travel all over the US. This tent has never let me down! I've been in the worst weather conditions in the middle of forests and still bone dry and comfortable with this tent.
Love this tent. Took it out for a multi day camping trip and it was perfect. Can't wait to test it out in the snow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent 4 season tent, very sturdy, great in wind and heavy rain. Great for 2 persons nice alcove is useful.
I bought this 2 months ago and I am a happy camper
