A new standard in camp storage

Started with one 45L Gregory box and loved everything about it. Picked up two more 45L and one of these 50L. Now everything needed for camp kitchen, tools and sundry gear is organized in these boxes. They're light but rugged. The translucent lid is brilliant. Locks down tight and keeps contents dry and clean. Recently spent 5 weeks in Glacier NP. These boxes were exposed to every kind of weather, heat, cold, rain, snow and ice. One big concern was exposure to cold. Despite the relatively lightweight materials they never became brittle in temperatures down to 10F. If saving space in your vehicle, intuitive camp gear organization, keeping your kit dry and clean here's the best (and most affordable) choice on the market. Highly recommended.

This box is great

I have had the longer version of this box for a bit and took this on a month long roadtrip/camping trip with the family. This is so great for organizing food. It stays organized and the hinged latches make everything accessible. It is critter proof and makes a great seat when you are in a pinch. No signs of wear after a month of daily use.

Not Rugged

I thought this looked a little cheap in the photos. And it is. For the price, and being that it is waterproof, so obsiously meant to be used outside, I was expecting this to be a fairly rugged box, but I can best describe it as dollar store quality. It is made of very thin plastic. It makes it very light, but when I'm camping and loading sutff in my truck -- pushing, pulling, stacking -- I don't want to worry about breaking my storage containers. Also, the hinges and clasps are hard, thin plastic. I really don't expect this to last very long. Definitely not what I was expecting. It says it has a lifetime guarantee, but I'm sure that's just for manufacturer's defects, not for when the lid hinges snap off when you flip it up under normal use.

Expensive for a Box, but I Get It Now

When I first saw the Gregory Alpaca Camp Box, my first thought was, why would I spend this much money on a box? After using it, though, I really like it. The quality feels very good, and one of my favorite features is that the lid is hinged on both sides. Being able to open it from either direction is such a simple idea, but it makes the box much easier to use around camp. I currently have all of my camping cookware stored in it, and it keeps everything organized and together. I haven't had it long enough to comment on long-term durability yet, but so far it feels well made and like something that should hold up to regular use. I'm looking forward to camping with it over the next year and seeing how it handles being packed, transported, and used outdoors. It's definitely more expensive than a basic storage box, but based on my experience so far, I'm very happy with it.

Nice size Camp Box

This camp box is the perfect size for me. I can carry it by myself while it's fully loaded. The other bonus is that if I need two to carry all my camp stuff, the size makes it easier to fit and arrange more than one into the back of my SUV and also in storage in my house. The see through lid is also handy and the fact that can be opened from either side is another bonus.

Best Little Box

This box is the best size for what we needed-- they fit perfectly in our under-the-bed-slide out. A little on the expensive side, but I'm glad we bit the bullet and spent the extra $ for the perfect fit & quality. We've learned the hard way over the last years... "you get what you pay for"! You won't regret it!

Sturdy, see-through lid hinges on both sides!

Loved this much more than I thought I would. I am seriously thinking about buying two more. I love that the top is see through and hinges on both sides. And when you put a bunch of stuff in it, the sides don't deform and make the top pop off, as with my other rubber tubs do.

Fits a bottle of high west no problem!

Unique shape works great for dry food storage, water bottles, liquor bottles, and tall items. When stored, this can just fit two domestic water jugs inside of it. It’s been a great addition for our camp kitchen!

Camp Box, what a nifty piece of gear!

Sturdy, lightweight, easy open/close hinges, spacious enough for all my kitchen gear (including the Alpaca kitchen case) and I gotta say I'm really looking forward to using this gear to it's full potential!
