Question about manufacturing detail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I believe that rear belt loop on these models have a factory flaw. When the Columbia tag was sewn in this model they sewed across the belt loop making it too narrow for a normal belt. I took a pair back to exchange only to find the same in all this product. Great pants otherwise.

Sturdy pants but size runs large

I have a 36 inch waist but the 34 inch pants fit perfectly. Made with a little more sturdy material than some other Columbia trail pants. Lots of pockets and only the front ones are mesh. There is a zipper pocket at the right side front pocket and an extra small pocket on the left side leg pocket (but is it too small for most phones). If you want to wear a belt with these you will need to carefully remove the red stitches in center back belt loop, or you could use a 3/4 inch wide belt. It would have been nice to have a little stretch in the waist.

A couple features away from perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought these pants and I love them…however, I wish they had 2 key features, 1, sun protection and 2, elastic cords at the ankle to tighten them in order to keep dirt, debris and bugs out. Really great pants, nearly perfect. Note, the rear belt loop is a little snug for a standard belt to fit through, and would love these in a coyote brown color and grey.

Not like "Tech Trailâ„¢ Knit Pant"

I wanted something like my previous "Tech Trailâ„¢ Knit Pant" but was disappointed by these. The drawstring inside the pants almost makes me laugh except it's not a joke. I stole the belt from my old "Tech Trail Knit Pant" instead. Perhaps I didn't read the description carefully.

Nice and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Size is true to size and are comfortable. They look nice and have lots of good storage. The black color can be easily dressed up. I love wearing these for everyday wear since they are really comfortable. The extra pockets are really nice for travelling.

If It Weren't For The Color....

These pants are comfortable. They're a little snugger than other Columbia pants I've bought in the past, but they're not too tight. They are very utilitarian. They have pockets on top of pockets.... Literally. They are the right size and they secure with velcro, even the flapped back pockets. Of course, it would be silly to make pants with flapped back pockets and no way to secure them. After all, what would the purpose be? Your wallet, et al. could just flop out any time you took a spill or had some other accident. Who would make pants like that? Actually, Columbia would. I have a pair. The description didn't alert me to that deficiency and I started to send them back. But those are not THESE pants. These pants are good. I have just one complaint: The picture makes them appear to be sand colored. They aren't. They're almost peach. The bad news is that the other color options ain't that grand either. You can have either Olive Drab or Black. For me, the sand color was the obvious choice... Until I pulled them out of the bag. Oh, well. If it weren't for the color, I'd have given them a "5". As for durability, I have no idea. I just got them.
