The PERFECT Layer

I get easily overstimulated by the wind when I'm hiking or running. I have been looking for a layer for my marathon training that would get me through the cold, windy coastal mornings. I have never loved a layer like this! Six miles in heavy winds and I was able to keep my cool while staying surprisingly warm. This is the winning staple that will lead to buying one in every color. 5'5" 140 lbs 40" H 31" W 37" C I ordered the medium based on the size guide. It's a wee tight at the bottom. I prefer a looser fit for more butt coverage, but this one I have to hike up slightly to sit right on my hips. I don't think it's worth sizing up (for me) and the "red" is my kind of visibility!

Best Purchase; Better Than Expected

I moved and found myself doing a lot of road running. I needed visibility in addition to windproof and waterproof coverage. This does the trick marvelously. And, it is so so light. I couldn't be happier. It is a shell. There is a pocket near the top for keys, but no pockets on the side. This makes sense and works as I use my hydro pack for "storage."

Nice cut/fit and good wind protection

The fit and cut are just right. I ordered a large, my usual and I love the fit. The blue is darker and less vibrant than the photos, but still nice. There are some nice features like reflective accents and a small 1” tether with a snap near the chest to keep the jacket in place when you have the zipper most of the way down (that was a nice surprise). The wind protection is great, but the breathability is lacking compared to my Houdini. The chest pocket has a very smooth zipper, unfortunately the main zipper is not that smooth, but works.

Great wind breaker

I bought this for running, but it's still been too warm for a jacket. I did however test it out hiking around, and it fits and performs well. I'm always worried about shoulder size, as I have bigger shoulders, but this jacket works great. Love the hood - it fits perfectly and snugly, the arm length is great, and it packs small so I can stash it in my running belt. The only wish i would have for future iterations is a little bit of air flow in the arm pit area.

Lightweight and versatile

Lightweight, durable and great-fitting jacket. Ideal for use in harsh conditions. It is not afraid of wind and light rain. It worked great when running in the city in winter as an extra layer of protection from the wind. Beautiful color and perfect fit according to the measurements on the website. Big plus for the lightness and the ability to roll up the jacket and then put it in a running belt. Definitely my favorite jacket for running and taking on the go.

Not good for me

When I finally got it and found the time to try them on I wasn't impresses with them. I got both a medium and large because I never know things can fit and found that both don't. I found them form fitting and not loose as the pictures show. They don't have pockets that you can put your hands in and the further up won't carry larger objects like cell phone. At the wrists I found them to be too loose as the elastic bands were like worn out.

MNy Approved

If you ask any Minnesotan about winters here, they'll say "It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the wind!". This jacket has exceeded my expectations, it's now an integral part of my winter running gear. I've used it down to -15° with a light long sleeve and down vest underneath and stayed plenty warm! Pair it with the Bonatti gloves and you're set.

Great lightweight running jacket

This is a good lightweight jacket to block wind and light mist. I like that the hood has elastic to stay on your head while running if you want it. The little front pocket is good for stashing small items. The only improvement I would recommend that would make this jacket perfect would be cuff mitts on the sleeves.

Light weight

Great light weight jacket. Kept me warm enough in 4 degrees with a tshirt underneath. No actual warmth to it in the sense of material but seems windproof which helps keep me warm. Bought size large. I am 5ft 5 and 145lb and is a great fit with room for a sweater underneath too.

Perfect

Perfect top layer, it got me through a north east winter. Unbelievably lightweight and kept the wind and cold out, as long as your wearing appropriate layers. I listened to reviews and sized up to a large, but probably could have gotten away with a medium.
