[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for cross country skiing and they are a dream. I just got back from skiing 8 miles and -10° weather. These pants keep you warm and let you move freely with no noise.
As a mountain town resident and skier, climber, hiker gal, These pants are what I have been looking for. They’re comfy, cozy, light, and I can wear them 24 hours a day. I mean, they’re awesome to sleep in, run around town in, wear underneath my ski pants, and look good going out at night. They’re a perfect medium. You could add maybe an inch of leg length and I wouldn’t complain, but that’s it for a constructive comment. Oh and maybe 5” tiny side zips, maybe not. Is it clear that I love these?
I love the Fernos Insulated Pant however I would warn others of the limited life span of the pant due to poor stitching. They are comfortable and keep me warm in fall & winter weather. I like to wear them walking on the beach or easy hiking in the winter and for lounging inside. I bought a full length pair a year ago and the cropped pair which is 4 months old. I take good care of the pants and wash them in a linen bag and hang them to dry. I was very disappointed that the stitching is coming loose on both pair of pants in the behind. The fabric is in good shape but the stitching is breaking apart. I will sew them up by hand, but it will look ugly. All it needed to make this pant great is a higher quality thread. Very poor that both pants less than a year of age are falling apart by the stitches.
I LOVE these pants. They’ve been perfect for negative wind-chill walks. They’re also sturdy! I do many things outside that could cause these pants to show wear and that hasn’t happened yet. The pockets were a pleasant surprise, functional depth + the zipper pocket. For fit I would say the legs feel like they run baggy but fit my waist comfortably. I have a pair of knickers I use under my shell bibs for skiing that I also love.
Love these pants. I bought them for xcountry skiing and the season isn't here yet, but I've been wearing them on cold days and they are like high tech sweat pants because they're so comfortable. Highly recommend! I'm 5'6" and 155 lbs. Size M is perfect.
Wore them all winter in temps ranging from sub zero to 30s. Live in northern VT and bought a second pair because they are my go-to. Pants are comfortable, wind proof, insulating, breathable, and just roomy enough. Perfect for running, hiking, walking.
I own these in a size medium, which is my usual size, but they are snug on my belly after a day on the mountain so I ordered a large thinking they would be more comfortable in the long run, but they were way too big for me. They are warm, though.
Glad to have these pants in my outdoor repertoire. Light and easy to carry, they kept me warm in the evenings at the base Tuckerman Ravine, NH. I might look to acquire the knickers to really round out my ski pant collection.
I have the knickers for skiing and they are amazing, so when I learned they also came in full length I had to have them. Perfect fit, they move with you and are so soft. Highly recommend.
I've been wearing the knickers and wanted to add the full length pant to my rotation. They are warm and comfortable. I can layer them when needed. You won't be disappointed.
