Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Great cold weather bag
I love this bag. I bought it for colder backpacking trips after freezing my butt off last time. Tried it out last night. I'm 5'4" and bought the short version. At 23°F, wearing knit cap, T-shirt and fleece, leggings and socks it kept me warm and cozy with no cold spots. For the price point, you can't beat it.
this bag is a waste of resources
the zipper in this is designed to self destruct i have had cheap $30 sleeping bags from target that have a more smooth zipper than this hopefully REI can replace this price of junk because I am homeless and have to survive a cold winter night with no sleeping bag at rei dont even bother with cheap stuff I knew I was going to regret not buying the $300 version of this sleeping bag just do yourself a favor and go get a $60 sleeping bag from bass pro shops that actually works
