Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.
Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

No, I do not recommend this product
Strike 1- There is no "included sling storage bag" as stated on the REI website. Strike 2- The elastic in the hood is incredibly thin and unwieldy and the snaps at the top of the zipper seem cheap/like they will be a pain to deal with if you have cold hands. Strike 3- Very unimpressed with build quality so far. Took it out of the stuff sack to check for the supposedly included storage bag/to check the sleeping bag. Put it back in the compression bag (as that is all there is) and the "ribbon" holding the cord lock close to the bag "popped" and started fraying like crazy. I did get it on sale, and don't really want to pay full price for one of the others I was looking at, but overall, not a good look. For the REI website accuracy Or Exped quality.

Absolutely superb!
Well my over all experience was absolutely amazing this bag keeps you warm in them colder nights I sleep with it half way open to cool off here a there. I got the 6'5 LW and it's perfect for me definitely going to recommend this brand to other wildland firefighters!!

Surprisingly Comfortable in the Cold
DeepSleep -5°C | 20°F is fantastic! It kept me warm and comfortable all night, even in colder temperatures. The quality feels great, and I woke up feeling well-rested. Definitely a reliable choice for chilly nights!

OK sleeping bag
No, I do not recommend this product
Purchased in an emergency. Decent sleeping bag, zippers are just OK. I believe anyone taller than 5'8 would struggle w/ the length. Kept me warm at 40 in a tent.
