This is a really nice bag, and at the current discounted price, it's a steal. The bag is roomy in the footbox, and not nearly as snug or tight as other mummy bags. The down is quite lofty and puffs up nicely once you fluff it a bit. It packs down pretty small in the stuff sack, and could be compressed even further. For the warmth rating, down filling, and weight it's unheard of at this price. However, me being an even 6' tall, this bag was just a little too short. I had my feet pressed against the bottom, and the top flap was still below my chin, about at my sternum. To get the bag sinched around my face was not possible unless I bent my knees and curled up. Regrettably I had to return it because of this. However, Sierra Designs impressed me and I will be exploring their other options. Because of this I cannot speak to the warmth rating, only the quality and construction, which was excellent. If you're under 6', this is an amazing bag.
I’ve only had this out one night so you have to take it with a grain of salt, but it kept me warm. Bought this sleeping bag as an alternative to quilts, hoping to avoid the draft that happens when you turn at night. I sleep on my side and turn often. This has a comfort rating of 36°, which is nice. I found it it to be just wide enough for my shoulders to fit and not too snug. The toe box is sewn in and just a little bit wider than the enlightened equipment enigma, which I thought was good. Dual zippers are great and my only complaint is the draft collar with the zipper. Didn’t exactly keep the cool air out. I did notice my butt got a little chilly when I turn and was not facing the zipper but other than that this worked really well, almost too well for 46°. The drawstring isn’t as easy to operate as others but all in all this is a really good, affordable option, that I’m going to keep for some of the warmer months out here in the Sierras.
