Great socks. My kids say they are their favorites, but they cannot figure out sizing. The 1yearold socks I bought from them last year were so tiny and these socks are also too small. I followed the size chart for t9-11 and got size small. My kid is size t9 so I was feeling confident. Way too small. I should have bought size medium. This brand makes great stuff but the size charts are always off for kids. Buy one size bigger or go look at them in store, you’ll see what I mean.

Size L does *not* fit a youth size 2 foot. Size chart says L should fit 3-6 but it is nearly an inch too small on the heel. Toe seam separated after four wears, but that was partially because the sock was too small. Nice color pattern.

my boys only wear these socks. they wear them over and over . . . I need to mend them rather frequently which is the only reason I dont give them full 5 stars . . but im a supporter as I have now purchased over 15 pairs for my boys over the year.

Good weight and feel, warm enough on chilly days and overall good quality on your feet

These are excellent quality, soft, semi stretchy, nice cushion. I’ve been a smartwool fan for many years. The sizing on these kids socks however is way off. My youngest wears a little kids size 8 shoe so I got the small (9-11.5 on the size chart) and the heel doesn’t stay over his heel, it slides down to his arch the sock is so small (this is fresh out of the packaging, un washed). There is absolutely no way they would fit a little kids size 11.5 foot as the size chart states. My daughter wears a size 13 little kids shoe so I got her the medium (12-2.5 on the size chart) and same thing, the heel will hardly stretch over her heel and stay put. I was trying to avoid a too-big sock situation where the heel goes up their ankle because they are too big, which is why I followed the size chart. I wish I would have sized up.

The twins especially love the extra cushion in the hike socks—they are going through a phase where they want all of their shoes to fit tight, and the extra cushion means they can get that snug feel without actually squishing their toes against the end of the shoe. We love everything about Smartwool! We're hooked—and our family of five has slowly been converting to a 100% Smartwool daily sock family.

I remember when I was a kid HATING wool sock that my parents made me where when we went sking or hiking. Now I where Smartwool socks every single day. And I got my kids to fall in LOVE with them. They fight over who gets to where them so I had to get more. Thank you Smartwool!

We've been looking for warm socks for my grandson for quite a while now. So many socks in his size are too big or too small or only offered in thin material. These are perfect! Now his little feet won't freeze when he goes outside to play. I'm ordering more of them.

Great quality and price. My kid is in an outdoor preschool and these will be perfect for the colder months. Also super soft and not a scratchy wool which we both love!

My 3-year old loves these socks! She wears them for hiking, playing outside, and in the snow. It's tough to get her to wear anything she doesn't choose herself, but she always loves to wear these.
