prAna  Stretch Zion Cargo Pants - Women's

I am loving these so far! I am 5’4”, 110 lbs with a slim/athletic build. I got a 0 regular length (I wanted a short but they were out of stock), and these are slightly long but otherwise fit great. I like that the ankles can be tightened (as they are in the photo), and the adjustable waistband is amazing. I can’t say how well they will hold up over time, but if I have issues I will update!

These pants are so comfortable! The fabric has great stretch to it, plus "the nature" brushes off with ease. There are tons of pockets for everything from your smartphone to snacks, chapstick, and dog treats. The pockets made it easy to access items on the go, and kept my phone readily accessible without interfering with my pack. I'm 5'2" so I ordered the short size (29" inseam), which was just the right length for a hiking pant. My go-to pants size is a women's 6 (I'm approx 125 lbs) and that fit perfectly, so for me, I'd say these are true to size. The waist is high, as advertised. I wore these hiking on the Colorado Trail in early March. Temps ranged from the 30's to the 50's. These pants were great! I think they'll be comfortable in much warmer temps, too. The legs are a little baggier than I expected, but they performed really well on the trail.

These pants are the worst and NOT worth the money. I bought them for a 2 week Camino de Santiago trip. By the time I got home, they were extremely pilled in the crotch and butt area and dingy after washing. I would absolutely never buy these again. I’m definitely going to return them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been loving the Women’s Stretch Zion High Rise Cargo Pant from prAna. I’m 5’7”, 125-130lb, and I usually wear a size 2 or 4, though my thighs are sometimes too thick for these sizes in certain brands. I’m wearing a 4 in these pants, and have sO mUcH rOoM to move and be. I’ve cinched the waist in nearly all the way, and I’m comfortable with whatever I’m doing in these pants. The legs felt nearly too wide until after a week of putting these pants through the wringer at work, when I realized I could cinch the ankles, and now I love them even more! The fit is great, the length is great, and so far, the durability is great. I did pick up one cactus on the back of the leg so far, without any noticeable damage to the fabric. I’ve worn them out in the field while hiking in rough terrain with temperatures into the low 90s. While they do feel a bit clammy while hiking and sweating in the hottest driest conditions, I know that they will do well overall spring through fall. They have handled brush and rocks well and will take some abuse under my careful watch. The zippered side phone pocket is one of my favorite features, but as a lefty, I’d appreciate a second identical pocket on the right side of the pants. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants have completely outdone themselves. I’m 5’2”, usually wear a size 6–8, and tested a medium/6. The fit is relaxed and comfortable, with adjustable tabs on both sides of the waist that make it easy to customize the fit. I’ve now worn them both indoor climbing and outdoors in weather ranging from the low 60s to the mid-80s. They performed really well across most of that range. They aren’t particularly insulating, so I wouldn’t choose them specifically for warmth, but they were comfortable in milder and warmer temperatures. I did get rained on, and the fabric dried impressively quickly. In humid, mid-80-degree weather, I eventually started to feel hot and sweaty, and the pants felt a little heavier after wearing them for an extended period. For me, the low 80s would probably be the upper end of their ideal temperature range. That said, they still felt great while I was actively climbing. Every feature feels thoughtfully designed: adjustable ankle cinches, a zippered pocket, several genuinely deep pockets, and waist adjustments on both sides. Most importantly, they allow complete freedom of movement through high steps, wide stances, and all the unusual positions climbing requires. I honestly didn’t notice the pants at all while I was on the wall, which is exactly what I want from climbing gear. As a climbing instructor and longtime recreational climber, I’m especially impressed by how well the fit and features work with a harness. After testing them in more varied outdoor conditions, I still really, really love them and would highly recommend them. And the color? Come on, guys. These are awesome. The fit for these cargo pants is amazing if you got a smaller waist but wider hips! The build in belt straps let you cinch the pant perfectly to your waist so the pants stay in place. Also these pants have soo many pockets, which is obviously great. I also love that you can cinch the bottom of the pants so depending what style you are going for it works! BUT!! the only thing that makes me really sad about these pants is the fabric. So I got them less than 2 months ago, I wore them casually and now for one hiking trip to Yosemite and the pants start to pile up between my legs and also pull threads on the fabric. (Disclaimer, I wash my clothes cold and hang dry them so no it was not the dryer) I got pants that cost less and I‘ve worn them way more, in way rougher terrain and they did not do that. These pants are quite expensive and with a price there also comes quality, that’s why I can only give 2 stars. I‘d not buy them again, which is sad bc I really loved the style:(

I’ve always loved Prana clothing, especially their pants and the Stretch Zion are no exception. I’m 5’7”, 145 lbs, and size 8 works perfect for me. They are stretchy enough to be comfortable for long days while also being durable. I was able to try these out on a couple long day hikes and i appreciated the breathability of them too! Some of my favorite features are the hidden pockets, and the cinch at the bottom to create more of a jogger style pant. I absolutely love these pants!

Loved the way these pants fit but they pilled up immediately even when laundered according to instructions. Looked like they were 10 years old 2 months after purchase. Customer service made me send back to exchange even with pictures/documentation

After seeing friends using Prana pants showcasing their durability through years of off-trail fieldwork, flexibility for climbing, and comfortable casual wear I was excited to finally get a pair. Honestly disappointed in these pants, they did not hold up to the expectations built previously by Prana. One difficult off-trail day in the field put major wear on these pants. The fabric snagged on every little branch and thorn. Each snag collected all available plant matter, creating the painful task of pulling each individual seed and broken thorn out of the fabric. The worst of the snags already show beginnings of tears throughout the pants. The calf and ankle portion of the pants are excessively baggy to the point where it was hazardous. My hiking boots would catch the opposite pant leg creating a constant tripping hazard, especially on steep downhills and dense vegetation. I don't know if they cheaped out on new fabric but it feels less durable than old Prana pants, and the design of the legs are a miss. I'm sure these are great for casual wear and outdoor use on easy-moderate trails, but they do not live up to the multi-use standard I've seen in the years-old Prana gear.

I agree with some of the other reviews, these are almost there and are nice for athletic legs, but they are also huge and fit like parachute pants on my 5'4" frame. I ordered these for some bikepacking and touring trips I have planned and am currently packing debating whether or not to initiate a return. For context I've worn Prana size 4 for many years and am usually a size 27 in other pants. I ordered these in 4 and 29" length. I would have expected something a little smaller. I'm happy enough with the waist, but it balloons out from there in all directions. I suppose it's unrealistic for them to fit like they do on a 6ft tall 00 model. They look sloppy with my cycling shoes, and are pulled together a bit with Blundstones but still super baggy. I'm having a hard time imagining how I'd style these.
