Miracle shirt

It's a miracle shirt. As a casual hiker/backpacker and tourist I've worn for sun protection, snorkeling, hot jungles, light rain and even in cooler weather. It dries faster than any shirt I've ever had, stays relatively cool in hot humid jungles, protects you from sun and keeps some warmth in cooler weather. Worn for many days on occasion and doesn't stink much from Aruba, Mexico, Florida to the Smokies. I have seven now and will buy more. DO NOT CHANGE A THING PLEASE!!!

Fun in the Sun OR Style

As a professional guide in the Grand Canyon and a trail runner in Tucson Arizona, I am in the sun a lot. I own a fleet of sun hoodies. Well I don't really care for the graphics available on these Outdoor Research sun hoodies, I will tell you that after one run out in nearly 100° temps and full sun has me sold on the quality and function of the fabric used. It was great running in it as it's very lightweight, breathes incredibly well, a solid fit/cut for running on my 5'11" 150lb frame (size Medium) and of course keeps the hot Arizona Sun off a guy. My only complaint so far is the graphics they offer. That seems like an easy change.

Comfortable and well fitting

I was gifted this first by my brother last year and I liked it so much I bought another one. It's comfortable and doesn't bunch up. In hot weather it is still viable and in colder temps above 20F it is a decent inner layer. The thumb holes make it easy to use under other clothing. Wether for just lounging, taking it for a run/hike, or needing it for a base layer this works great. Also all the patterns and colors make for tons of options.

Light and simple. Hood not deep enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My astroman hoody was recently stolen (trailhead thieves) and I picked up this echo hoody as replacement. Took the echo out for 6 days of backpacking... Very light weight fabric that stays cool, days fast and feels good against bare skin. Odor treatment seems good... Occasionally rinsed it in water and kept wearing with only a faint body odor. Nice. My one complaint is that the hood is way smaller than the astroman hood and doesn't work for side of face sun protection, just not enough fabric. If the hood were more like the astroman this would be a total winner. Just not enough sun protection for my face from this hoody to make it work. Had mild sunburn on my cheekbones. Neck and ears are fine. Love the weight and space savings with the echo though. But I didn't have to Cary sunscreen with my astroman, with the echo you'll probably need it unless you have a smallish head.

Great Padding Shirt

The shirt is great. Wicks very well and keeps the sun off! This has become my go to shirt when I go out kayaking or fishing. I like the thumb loops and the hood is a nice close fit that works with or without caps and hats equally well. True to size but doesn't stretch like a Jersey t-shirt, but good for all. I would also recommend washing inside out but that's about it. Will wear out hiking once I can.

Was going for less plain aesthetics than black or gray...However, the printed hoodie is slightly different in construction than I was anticipating. Its a little heavier / thicker (probably for graphic printing?) and a little less stretch + knit breathability than the non-print echos that I already own. Still a great layer but nothing beats that featherweight original non-print experience.

Great Lightweight Sun Protection Hoodie

This lightweight hoodie is a game changer for those scorching Texas days. Its featherlight fabric keeps me cool, while the UPF 20 sun protection ensures I'm shielded from harmful rays. At 6' 4", I appreciate the well-fitted hood and extended sleeves, which add extra coverage without compromising mobility and style. This hoodie has become my go-to for all outdoor activities during the summer.

Best sun layer ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spend a lot of time outdoors from the range to hikes to hunting and training. Sunburn will ruin your day faster than a tornado and make you miserable while you try to do something you love. The Echo hoodies were my 5th sun layer I've tried. Absolutely the most comfortable and effective sun/base layer I've run 10/10 worth every penny. They stretch and move with you and fit like a dream.
