Stylish Jacket, but Falls Short

The North Face Tek Approach Jacket is a great-looking piece right out of the box. The color is sharp, the style is modern, and it’s a jacket you feel good wearing from a visual standpoint. As a casual layer, it checks the box—lightweight, comfortable, and easy to pair with different outfits. That said, a few things held it back for me. Mine arrived with what looked like a small oil stain, and after only about three months of light, occasional wear, the material began to peel. For the price and for a brand known for durability, that was disappointing and not what I expected. In terms of performance, warmth and wind protection are limited, so this functions more as a stylish shell than a true technical jacket.

Lightweight fleece jacket 5*

Light weight, wind-blocking fleece jacket. I bought this for multiple uses: cycling, pickleball and under waterproof shell (all types of activities). I could have purchased the medium but I chose a more form fitting small. Great over a base layer. A little snug over a midweight fleece. Perfect for my use cases. Great color and quality.

Great Jacket

The Tek Approach caught my eye while browsing in the local REI. Kept coming back to it and upon trying it on I was sold. Sharp looking, North Face quality, and perfect for end of winter/start of spring days.

Must Have

Honestly exceeded expectations. The fit is perfect-not boxy, not tight, just clean and flattering. Super comfortable right out of the box and holds its shape all day. The material feels high quality and breathable, and I've already gotten multiple compliments every time I wear it. Works great on its own or layered, casual or dressed up. You can tell it's built to last. North Face nailed it-would absolutely buy again

Great Product

This is just what I was looking for in a light jacket. Material is light but it stops the wind in its tracks.

Juuuust enough...

I wear this for work mostly, walking construction projects with clients and prospects. It certainly does block wind, is just thick enough to be warm, and light enough to...light...? Not sure what I'm trying to say but yeah, this was an easy buy. Looks sharp, functional, and I pray I get to wear it as a baselayer skiing here in CO soon.

Buy it and you will never regret it

Love this jacket. Amazing combination of wind resistance and warmth. Lightweight but somehow insulating and breathable. I end up wearing this way more than I expected. How did I live without this for so long? Runs large.

I will definitely be purchasing other colors as well

I was in need of a comfortable yet light weight jacket that I could wear at work. This jacket not only does it look great, if fits and feels great! The quality of materials used superseded my expectations!

Urban commute

I ride an e-bike to work. The jacket's wind-resistance makes this jacket comfortable during commutes wearing jeans + tee down to 50 degrees + wind-chill for me. Your temperature values may vary.
