Super light, easy to assemble, pretty comfortable
Super light weight. Frame has tension strings in the posts like a tent, so easy to assemble. Moderately comfortable. Long back and pillow help but it needs lumbar support to not round you up. Still for the weight you wont find bettrr
Great Chair Once I Added the Carrying Strap
Love the REI Co-op Flexlite Camp Dreamer Chair. But just had to sew on carabineers and add a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry to outings. REI please add a shoulder strap to the bag the chair fits in.
REI flexlite camp dreamer.
This chair is AMAZING, I bought the flexlite boss and realize i like to lounge and have my head supported and exchange it for camp dreamer chair, I carry this chair wherever I go, it's a little pricey but worth it. I highly recommend it. I'm 220lbs 6'2" and this is perfect.
IT WEIGHS NOTHING…? How is that possible
When my husband pulled the chair out of the shipping box, I felt a little nervous because it was so large! I knew it would be a solid sized chair for back packing but I didn't expect to see what I saw. And that’s when he said to me, “wow! This chair weighs basically nothing!” Which is a done deal!! It is so comfortable, we love the head pillow, and its so light, it’s going to be no issue strapping this to our packs for the back country. An amazing find.
4th chair
I have the 1 lb folding chair (similar to crazy creek) which is stupid easy but not good for wet ground or if bugs are nearby. I bought the Flexlite Air which is no longer available and that is 1 lb without the bag but it’s only good for narrow bottoms. We then got the Boss chair which my husband likes but this Dreamer chair takes the cake. Easier to get in and out of, can lean my head back and it fit an adult rear end. I didn’t enjoy the headrest so left that at home. The trick to getting the fabric on is to do one of the tall back posts last since there is more flex. After you do it a few times the fabric stretches out so it becomes easier.
Love this chair
I really love this chair. It’s very comfortable to me. I like the headrest. I’m not very tall at 5’3” and it feels great to be able to sit properly yet not too low. I got this to go overlanding and space is a big deal in our small rig. They roll up and pack away perfectly for this. The reason for leaving off one star is the lack of instructions. It’s easy enough to put the rods together but I had a very hard time pulling the fabric onto them. Im sure I’ll figure out the easiest way to do this. As others said it would be nice to have a strap on the bag but I’ll add one on myself.
Easy to Carry...Even Easier to Setup!
The first time I found out how insanely light this chair was, came from an e-mail from UPS. The email I received notifying me that pick up of the chair was available, displayed the weight as only 1 pound. One pound? I thought this surely was a mistake. I went to open my package and sure enough; there was my neatly rolled chair in a compact travel bag. This thing is light, I can't stress how convenient this is for all your adventures. I could imagine myself scrambling to pack up for a camping trip, carrying a handful of equipment to the car, with this dangling off my fingertip while my arms are full of everything else. Setting up is an absolute breeze. Open the bag, unroll the chair, and assemble the frame. The frame almost assembles itself when you lift it into the air. Then, put the cloth over the poles. The putting over the part can be a bit tough at first, getting that last corner of fabric over that final pole can be a little tricky. But with a little practice, it takes all of maybe 2 minutes to go from rolled up in the bag to assembled chair. Sitting in the chair is merely fine. This is actually the reason I did not rate this chair a full 5 stars. Sitting in the chair isn't the most relaxing thing in the world. It felt like it curled my body into a weird position, almost fetal like. I felt like the chair was trying to curl me into a ball. I am only 5'6", so maybe people with longer legs won't have the same problem. I understand this is a camp chair, so portability and convenience take precedent over comfort, yet i felt it deserved a 4 stars instead of a perfect 5. The enclosed pillow for the back of the chair is decent. I tried this chair with and without the pillow and definitely recommend using it, even if it is a bit stiff, it supports your head nicely. Without the pillow I felt like my head would want to roll back without anything supporting it. The pockets on both sides of the chair are appreciated, I tried them out as a cup holder and as storage for my keys, they are decent sized, and worked well as both cup holder and key/wallet pocket. Packing up the chair is almost as easy as setting up. In can take an extra minute or two to get it in the bag, but definitely worth the effort for how compact it becomes. I like this chair overall and would be great to just throw in my car and be at the ready for any impulse weekend journey. It is easy to keep in your car at all times, as it doesn't take up much room and adds almost no weight to whatever else you may be hauling. I think everyone should buy at least one of these and keep it with them for whatever adventure may come their way.
Sooo Comfortable
This chair is so comfortable one can sit for hours. It takes a bit of struggle to fit the material into the last pole, specially when one is 5'2" and 110 pounds. But ones that the material stretches a bit, its conveniently light to carry on my back and take it to the park. I almost didn't buy for the struggle to put poles into the material, but I was lucky enough to have the sells person explaining the easiest way to go around. One puts the material into the shorter poles first, and last the longer poles. This helps because the poles are longer and can bend a bit. Now, I'm just waiting for the weather to get warmer to take this chair to the park.
Comfy chair, needs a better pillow!
This chair is lightweight and compact, which is exactly what I was looking for. I find putting on the bottom part of the seat is a bit difficult to stretch, but I'm hopeful that over time it will loosen up the more I use it. The 2 reasons that I'm a bit disappointed with the char is that the pillow is so hard, it adds no comfort. I wish they had a blow-up pillow or something so that way you can choose if you want a soft pillow or something more firm. Additionally, the bag has no strap, which is very unfortunate so you can't sling it over your shoulder. Other than that, I really like how I fit in the chair. Very comfortable and great quality.
Relax in comfy chair after pulling hard to set up
This high back chair is super confortable, you can sit back and relax with your head on the (included) pillow. The armrests are very narrow but they do include a slit on each side to store items such as a phone or wallet, but not a large drink. The materials are sturdy so you're not afraid to pull hard when setting it up. I wish they would have made the seat fabric even just a half inch bigger, so that it's easier to pull onto the last rod of the frame when installing. Luckily there are loops in every corner to help with said pulling, and I found it easier to keep one of the high back rods for the last one, as they are longer so more 'bendable' .
