- Efficient, tapered mummy design cuts excess weight for ultimate packability
- Single, asymmetrical front zipper integrates with the innovative NEMO Headwall™ internal draft guard to provide 360° protection
- Headwall—a plush, insulated collar—wraps around the back of the neck and cozily overlaps itself in front to efficiently block cold air while creating a comfortable experience
- Balancing the front zipper is a single Thermo Gill™ vent, enabling fine-tuned temperature control
- With internal and external zippers, the Thermo Gill incrementally releases body heat without direct exposure to the cold, extending the usable temperature range of the bag
- For additional instant ventilation (or simply to let your feet poke out), the footbox also features a zippered opening
- Strategically placed vertical and horizontal baffles optimize warmth and comfort while preventing migration of the aerospace-grade, 100% recycled synthetic insulation
- Zerofiber™ 800 insulation is made from postconsumer recycled material and is the highest-performing synthetic fill possible—ultralight, water-resistant and warm when wet
- Streamlined hood cinch hardware is bonded to the material and more integrated into the bag's design than traditional dangling designs
- Hood and footbox are reinforced with recyclable, waterproof material to prevent tent condensation from soaking into the bag's fabric
- A mono-polymer design, Soul meets the NEMO Endless Promise® standard and can be fully recycled at the end of its life—just send it back to NEMO and they'll handle the rest
- NEMO takes full responsibility for all Endless Promise products, from production to end of life, and designs them for total recyclability to keep them out of the landfill
- A genderless bag, Soul calls out both the Limit temperature rating and the Comfort temperature rating in its name
- Per industry standards, the Limit rating (the first number referenced in the series) is considered the benchmark for men
- The Comfort rating (the second number referenced in the series) is considered most applicable to women
- Protected by the NEMO Lifetime Warranty

Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.
Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.
