BEST Dough Mix on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Other than making myself (not always guaranteed results) this is the BEST packaged dough mix I’ve tried. I’m a chef and a certified pizziola and when I dont want to think about the steps or the ingredients, I use this dough mix. Easy. Reliable. Perfect consistency. No one can tell the difference at home. Leoparding is great.
Wonderful dough mix
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mix makes an excellent dough that is easy to work with. I bought it because I couldn’t find the yeast and salt I wanted, it was temporarily out of stock. This was so easy to use and delicious. I’m going to buy more just to have on hand.
Still Struggling
Gave the pizza dough mix 4 stars. However, it may deserve 5 stars as whatever difficulty encountered it was more likely my fault. Continue to struggle with stretching the dough into pie shape without the dough somewhat snapping back to a smaller pie shape. The corniche was not airy and crunchy. It was more like a thick pie crust. Again, the problem may be part of my fault. Whatever recommendation can be provided they are very much welcomed, including the best recipe.
It works, but trust the recipe instructions, do not deviate.
Maintain the initial 67% hydration as Ooni instructs. Yes, when you first mix it, you will have to oil your hand and your bowl and anything that touches the dough, otherwise it will be a frustrating mess, because it is so wet, it will stick to everything. After the overnight in the fridge, the hydration drops significantly. Once you begin proofing outside of the fridge, it will be down to about 56%.
Did not work for me
I tried the NY style pizza dough mix so wanted to try this one too. I was not as pleased with this dough, it was salty and did not rise after several days in the fridge as I expected. Hey, it still made great pizza but I'll be using the NY style or my own recipe in the future.
Used the same day
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dough was too sticky ( my fault). I mixed this dough the day I wanted to use it but gave it eight hours to rise. That worked out well. The crust is very tasty.
Great pizza dough
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great pizza dough! The only issue I have is I do not like to use the semolina. I use just a flour on the pizza peel, I feel this works better.
Awesome alternative
Had amazing results with this mix and so easy to use. Might start buying this instead of premade dough balls as both require overnight prep.
Great taste and time saver
This dough was so easy to use, tasted great and was a huge time saver. We likely won't ever make pizza without this on hand first.
Inedible
Poor rise, too dense, and gluey. I had to throw away all 4 pizzas-a total disaster of a dinner. :(
