I have searched high and low for a solution to a lid for my GeoPress and I finally found it! I use my cup for many different things including washing off wild edibles and medicinals before using. The slots in the lid are perfect for this purpose. I also use the lid to keep the ashes out of the cup when boiling my water or cooking up some food. The one thing that REALLY impressed me was the fact that I can lift the lid with my bare fingers because the titanium dissipates the heat so well. I’ve never been able to do that before! The fit is perfect.. The function is perfect.. Grayl knocked it out of the park with this one!
Price for the lid is $24. That’s insane when you payed $200 for the filter. You can almost by other Ti cup and lid for that price. Sorry, that’s a rip off grayl…
Fits the GeoPress like it was made for it (because it was)! Only reason I had to buy separately was because I received the GeoPress as a gift and the purchaser didn’t realize the lid was an option. I bought a second press for my wife (with a lid), a lid for the original gifted press, and two spare filters. The add on lid and the one that came with second press is identical just in case anyone wonders. It fits snugly, doesn’t need to be held to pour, and come off easy enough. It really adds to the overall functionality.
I have two Geo press systems, a standard 24 for daily use. And the ti system camping and my BOB. The lid was the missing piece for using the ti as a minimalist cooking system. The only downside is the lid does not pack into the system in any way. . . . Easy to lose. I've connected mine via a small cable to the filter.
It has to be noted that this lid fits the bottle PERFECTLY! I’ve had some lids that just sit on cups/bottles making it to where you have to use both hands to keep it on while you pour. Not this one! It sits firmly in place and allows one handed pours without worry of it falling off mid pour.
Definitely improves the boil time when used with the Geopress Ti. The fit was very precise, snapped in place, and didn’t fall out even when turned upside down
Flexibility expands possibility... raw water vessel needs to be purified adds in that process steam clean...
Send me a lid and I would be very happy to review it . when will you have some in stock?
Great addition to your kit giving more functionality to a very functional product.
Fits perfectly snapped in won’t fall out. It turned upside down.
